@neel is a true mod­ern day tech­no crafts­man who can do sur­re­al and unusu­al things with sound in tru­ly unique ways as both a DJ and live performer. For this very special mix Neel combines DJ & live for a unique hybrid set, soundtracking the final afternoon of @parallelfestival 2023. 

Neel is known for being the mas­ter­mind behind Eniss­lab Stu­dio, a mas­ter­ing and mix­ing stu­dio which is a go-to place for many, if not most, con­tem­po­rary tech­no labels. Neel is also a long time col­lab­o­ra­tor with Dona­to Dozzy, start­ing off with them per­form­ing and record­ing as Voic­es From The Lake, evolving into them co-run­ning the legendary Spazio Disponi­bile label.

As another year is coming to a close, we are once again delighted to continue our annual tradition of the midwinter mix by Ntogn, the founder of legendary label Hypnus Records.

Now in its 11th year, this midwinter mix presents a deeper, more contemplative & mellow mix than the previous editions, featuring some of Ntogn’s favourite pieces woven together to create a timeless mix. The perfect soundtrack to tomorrow’s winter solstice.

Our last DSS of 2023 comes from the Belgian city of Antwerp. Yogg is known for his unique sound design, impact cuts of body-slamming techno with deep synths and sleek rhythms. He released on various labels such as Non Series, Illegal Alien Records, 30D Records, Counterchange, and others.

For DSS 079, he took a different approach, taking down the tempo and starting with some dub related tracks, building towards UK influenced sound to conclude the mix with trippy and breaky techno.

2023년을 마무리하는 56번째 vurt podcast는 네덜란드를 중심으로 활동중인 프랑스 출신의 디제이/프로듀서 Laura BCR과 함께합니다. On Board Music을 이끌며 유럽을 무대로 활발하게 활동하고 있는 Laura BCR의 2시간 세트는 지난 11월에 Badaboum 파리에서 열린 파티에서 녹음되었습니다. 

"Last November, I’ve had the chance to play a closing set right after Paramida and Alex Kassian on a Thursday night at Badaboum in Paris for Cahiers Electroniques. The night not being Techno oriented, I tried to respect the progression of the running order on building a groovy set, full of percussions and quite dub focused. It turned out super energetic and people were transported by the storytelling - it’s a very good memory that I wanted to share with Vurt as I’m playing at the venue in Seoul on January 6.

It’s a pure best of 2023 what I have been playing this year with some classic tunes that come time to time in my sets from Ruhig to Tin Man (both timeless), Luigi Tozzi, Dorisburg, DJ Sodeyama, Justin Cudmore, Ectomorph or Ben Buitendjik. And my favorite recent news from Gigi FM, Polygonia, Shoal and more." - Laura BCR

Laura는 감미롭고 깊이 있는 테크노와 더비 앰비언트 DJ 세트로 가장 잘 알려져 있으며, 온보드 뮤직(On Board Music)레이블, 에이전시 및 파티를 운영하는 것으로도 유명하다. 그녀는 SoHaSo, live at Robert Johnson, On Board, Auxiliary, Semantica에서 음악을 발표했으며, 최근에는 Konstrukt에서 새로운 EP를 발표하였다.

Laura BCR takes her name from the much-loved and now closed, Berlin record store, Bass Cadet Records, where she spent a couple of years behind the counter. These days, Laura is best known for her transportive, deep techno and dubby ambient DJ sets and for managing On Board Music label, agency & party organization. She has released music on SoHaSo, live at Robert Johnson, On Board, Auxiliary, Semantica and her latest EP has been out on Konstrukt a few weeks ago.
