Raised in Manchester studying at Jazz at Chethams School of Music and Trinity College of Music, Paleman has rapidly risen through the ranks since emerging in 2012 from within the UKs vibrant post-dubstep scene.
He has quickly become one of the most respected DJs and producers with a view to innovation and experimentation. Multiple releases on Swamp81 started his career aged 18 followed by a collaboration with UK mercury prize jazz nominees Polar Bear in 2014 before he launched his own white label series in 2016 "PLMN". Paleman now has a curated solo show "Hyphal Networks" on Rinse FM, exploring experimental techno sounds and has debuted his textural electronic percussion based live show at Manchester International festival. Recently, four self releases under his belt on his imprint PLMN Records and EPs in 2018 and 2019 with Berlin based Zehnin Records and Nonplus Records, Paleman seems to be on an ever increasing upwards curve, shifting his sound and exploring new realms of experimental modular driven techno that defies convention.
Paleman’s knack for percussive, textural and elegantly minimal dance floor music has taken him around the world from Tresor in Berlin and across the UK to Australia, India and Canada all to showcase his unique DJing style and huge array of unreleased experiments. With studies in classical music and jazz his drumming skills and influences take note from all four corners of the experimental musical world, and also the dystopian future of hardware based machine music as well as experimental early electronics. Paleman seems to constantly be pushing boundaries in both his DJ and live sets and also his productions - 2020 seems set to reveal even more of the experienced producer.

Sciama's DJ set kicked off the third day of performances curated at Castell de Montjuïc for Mostra 23 (@mostrabcn). The second edition of the Catalan festival brought together a total of 1,000 people across two different locations and featured four days of musical acts. The lineup included 31 artists who delivered high-quality avant-garde and experimental electronic sounds.

He is always exploring the limits of dance music with out-of-the-box-ideas which lead him to an interesting mixture of breakbeat, 4tothefloor and textured sound design with a slight touch of trash and ADHD.

FTP Doctor chose the plant Salvia Divinorum for his mix. Here is why:
Salvia Divinorum is a medicine and an entheogen, which is often stigmatized and/or very unknown around the globe. It is actually one of the most powerful compounds in nature that lets us interact and explore our (sub)consciousnes. To honor this truly unique gift from nature i wanted to create a tense, colourful mix that brings a lot of different styles together.

About FTP Doctor

'FTP Doctor' doesn't give a damn about genre boundaries, on the contrary, he really challenges unusual combinations. Between techno, hip-hop, house, instrumental influences and much more, nothing is left out. The mood palette of the Munich-based musician is just as diverse. In his productions you can find tracks that cover everything possible from warm, harmonic to unsatisfying and at the same time aesthetic sound colors by means of targeted sound designs. After Niklas Bühler produced techno and ambient under his previous pseudonym 'Delusional Circuits' for the label 'IO', he opens his style under a new name. He appears like a musical chameleon, taking the modern pop and internet culture for a ride with an ironic wink. Besides this project, he is also part of the Munich-based ensemble 'Lyder', which focuses on the fusion of electronic music and jazz.

It's time for DSS 093. Kairogen is a Scottisch Dj and producer living in Glasgow. Only 2 years active in the scene, she's already played at some of the UK's biggest clubs and festivals.

Her approach to music is as versatile as her background. Working in nightlife and visual arts, she is a musical chameleon. From ambient to emotional house to texturised techno, she is comfortable on any terrain.

Originally from Málaga and residing in Granada since 2002, Antonio Moreno, better known as Kaizen (@morenofrigi), has been immersed in electronic music since 2000. Over the years, he has honed his craft by drawing inspiration from numerous clubs and festivals. In 2013, he took his passion to the decks, embarking on his journey as a DJ. Constantly evolving, his sets are designed to take listeners on a mental journey through deep sounds, atmospheric textures, minimalism, tribal rhythms, and breaks.

Kaizen is a member of Granada's Klub Collective (@klub_collective), an initiative dedicated to organizing events that move away from mainstream trends, focusing instead on the intimacy of true club music.

Spiral Tribe’s own 69db presents his Wave Arising LIVE set.
As a founding member of Spiral Tribe and R-Zac, and co-founder of Network 23 Recordings, 69db has been a driving force in the Hardtec and Tribe scenes since the early ’90s. His improvised live sets have pushed boundaries for over three decades.
Wave Arising, blending tribal techno with dub elements, was recently hailed by Resident Advisor as a standout performance at Dekmantel 2024.
This mix comes out of his work for the Wave Arising project he shares with dancer Kynsie. The project is aimed at returning focus to improvisation , music and movement as the main focus of our personal development in life. 

The mix is 100% improvised on the liveset and is about tuning in to our deeper selves and opening a channel within.

Happy to present DSS 108, brought to us by Vladimir Vinco, better known as Vladw. Hailing from Buenos Aires, Agentina, Vladw is one of the prominent figure in the local scene.
His multifaceted approach to techno has seen him alos explore ambient and experimental sounds. This has granted him the oportunity to release music on different prominent labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Planet Rhythm and his own Thama Series.

One of the most prestigious producers of the Spanish techno scene, a seasoned veteran in electronic creation with a career spanning several decades whether as a producer, live artist or DJ. His works have seen the light on his own label and on many of the fundamental labels of the techno world.

Big Hands is the main moniker of the artist also known as Andrea Ottomani, Andrea Ottomani Nontet and Otto Von Lumi. Mainly known for his serpentine and labyrinthine electronic productions that found home on labels such as Al Wootton's Trule, Blank Mind, Vargmal and his own Baroque Sunburst.
In recent years, he has developed an intimate and personal electronic sound that owes as much to free jazz and psych-rock as it does to more leaden styles such as dub and techno.

About the set, Andrea said: "This is 50 mins with me and a pair of 1200s - super fluid, rough & jumping between genres. Let's all boycott Spotify."
