Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

Alan Fitzpatrick is back with a three-track EP that encapsulates what Alan’s Drumcode sound is all about. Hard-hitting drums that fire down onto the dance floor like cannon balls. Check! Intense key patterns that are as twisted as they are uplifting. Check! Beautiful melodies that seamlessly interlock with each element. Check! Big-sounding, infectious grooves and killer hooks generously sprinkled with the infamous Fitzpatrick magic over the top. CHECK! In short, this EP is everything we have come to expect from Alan over his long history with Drumcode (this is his 10th EP as a solo artist!), but still his sound remains fresh and super-charged for 2014.

The seventh volume of Drumcode’s annual A-Sides compilation hits with no less than 10 debuts for the label, with Charlotte de Witte, ANNA, B.Traits and Scuba’s SCB project, among the collection of topline artists to release their maiden productions on the imprint. 

Over two decades into its lifespan, Drumcode keeps evolving and excelling, pushing techno forward while remaining wholly respectful of its roots. This reputation for progression was further fueled this summer with its inaugural festival at the NDSM Docklands in Amsterdam, featuring a long list of heavyweights including Nicole Moudaber, Joseph Capriati, Amelie Lens and Ida Engberg, among others. 

As ever, the A-Sides compilation provides a timely opportunity to showcase the full range of its sonic repertoire, with Adam Beyer scrupulously selecting 22 unreleased tracks that have taken prime position in his sets over recent months. 

Outstanding all-round talent ANNA kicks off the compilation with ‘Portable Paradise’, a pulsating cut that sets the tone for the top-shelf club cuts to follow. Also entering the debut field with their first ever Drumcode dalliances are B.Traits and Charlotte de Witte. The esteemed Canadian selector offers up ‘I Feel The Music’, a euphonic track that’s been sought after since spring, and the Belgian ballista unlocks a thick-edged club bomb in ‘Remember.’

Leaders of Drumcode’s new brigade, exciting Brazilian Wehbba and British techno alchemist Boxia set out to impress. Wehbba’s straight-talking ‘Just’ hits with an immediate sense of urgency before neck-snap claps strike with force, and Boxia’s ‘Final Call’ elicits physical engagement with mellifluous vocals and soaring pads. 

Continuously looking to bolster the profiles of emerging talent, Berlin-based producers Weska and Juliet Fox are brought into the fold with equally engaging razor-sharp tracks that are primed to do lasting damage. 

Other notable highlights include an exhilarating workout from Reset Robot - the most released artist on Beyer’s imprint Truesoul – as he lands on Drumcode for the first time. And tastemaker’s favourite Jel Ford makes a welcome return as he ushers in techno rhythms with bustling breaks in ‘Nightshade.’

Elsewhere, support from label mainstays comes in from Bart Skils, who offers a work of consummate skill in ‘West Of The Moon.’ Alan Fitzpatrick, who’s been heavily featured across the A-Side series, joins forces with Scuba as he operates as his uncompromising alias SCB. The result is a propulsive floor-gripper that testifies to their masterful deftness as co-producers. Formidable duos Dense & Pika and Pig&Dan also contribute with powerful compositions.

Two contrasting remixes of ‘Space Date’ come courtesy of Pleasurekraft and John Monkman, as the three-way collaboration between Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani and Green Velvet continues to thrill. Joining the strong reworks is an unexpected treat for fans; a last-minute inclusion of a fresh new original track from the trio.

Drumcode got its first taste of Pleasurekraft’s unique production touch in 2016 when ‘Dopefield’ dropped on ‘A-Sides Vol.5’. The Swedish/American duo’s exploration of cosmic techno realms made them the ideal candidates to re-work ‘Space Date’. Their contribution is as visceral as they come; defined by a hypnotic vocal arrangement, a stirring call and response melody and propulsive galloping beats fashioned for peak-time moments. No surprise it was a highlight of Adam Beyer’s Ultra Resistance sets and gobsmacked Maceo Plex who requested a promo to play at Time Warp a week later.

Meanwhile Drumcode debutant John Monkman steps up with a very different, but not less deadly reinterpretation of ‘Space Date’. The Brit has impressed in recent times with strong releases on Ellum, Kompakt and his own Beesemyer imprint, and takes this form into DC207. His is a twisted intergalactic re-rub drenched in warped electro, blistering modular sounds and touches of IDM that manages the difficult task of taking the original to darker, more leftfield realms without ever losing its powerful dancefloor pulse.

Rebūke joins the Drumcode family with a blistering three-track EP.

We got our first taste of the Irishman’s exhilarating talents when he debuted on Truesoul back in April with ’50 First Raves’. His unique alchemy of house, techno and rave has seen him become one of the breakout stars of 2019 and ensured he’s stayed firmly on the radar of Adam Beyer.

Inspired by his experiences at Drumcode’s now-legendary party at Space Miami during WMC, Rebūke’s DC debut encompasses all the dynamic energy of his previous contributions, with peak-time pounding effect. ‘Rattle’ leads the trio, a cut voraciously track I.D’d by Rebūke’s fanbase and highly anticipated across the industry after a high-impact play during Radio 1’s Weekender in Ibiza. The track pops with the producer’s trademark rubbery rhythms, pin-sharp drums, intermittent rave horns and a wicked acid line, culminating in a high-octane trip that’s one of the most thrilling we’ve heard on DC this year. ‘Operator’ spits fierce drum sequences before a tweaked-out bass melody grows with undulating intensity giving the track it’s shining character. ‘Metal’ builds with intergalactic stabs and claps before a menacing low-end melody enters the fore and his signature percussion gives the track an otherworldly tribal crunch.

Brosso, Dub Pepper have prepared two tracks 'Athelas' and 'Welcome', which will blow the roof off even the most inveterate skeptics in music.
'Athelas' is the embodiment of the modern indie dance genre. Its bass line is like a slap in the face that will shake you up and grab your attention. And the oriental motives that appear in the middle of the track perfectly emphasize the whole work with their relevance.
Welcome is infused with 80s Italo Disco elements. Arpeggios create a nostalgic accent and take old school to the next level. Acid sounds as a finishing touch. This is undoubtedly the kind of work that will win your minds and hearts.

Ferrari - Jungle Boogie EP

Earlier this year we were happy to release Ferrari’s first ever track on AEON; a crafty remix of Alex Niggemann’s ‘Rise of the Machines’. Towards the end of November, the Italian producer’s ‘Jungle Boogie’ EP will brighten up the darker months of the year. Ferrari wrote the record during Italy’s strict lockdown evenings and first days of easing the restrictive measures, which created a sound of both frenzy and relieve.
The record’s title track creates expectations, which it meets, but not in the exact way you expected it. ‘Jungle Boogie’ starts with native percussion rhythms, but swiftly evolves into a fever dream with altered bird sounds that create an extraterrestrial impression. While female vocals are trying to get to you, you get lost more and more in the acid jungle Ferrari created. While the animals celebrate the temporary absence of mankind. 
‘Trancektor’ immediately spirals down towards even deeper parts of your unconscious. This time, however, the world you find yourself in feels more like an 80s arcade game. Circling, Italo disco-inspired synths swirl around you as the spatial sounding beat runs on.
The third track on the EP, ‘Tellurico’, is an uplifting tune with forceful keys that push you forward. The choir hypnotises this song’s listeners all the way to the end. 
The closing track of the ‘Jungle Boogie’ EP brings you into calmer waters, allowing you to recover a bit from your little journey. However, ‘Freakin’’ intensifies as it goes forward elevating you one last time.
AEON invited Whitesquare - well known from his releases on Dj Tennis infamous „Life & Death“ - to rework ‘Jungle Boogie’s title track. He silenced the birds, but the trippiness of the track stays, while some new tropical animals enter the stage.
This storytelling EP of five tracks shows some excellent curatorship of the Berlin-based label.

Their originals are more melodic techno, but high class productions and we are proud to have them.

The title track EXPLORE is a club banger peak time killer, outstanding track with an amazing vocal. We really miss the real club life with this one. We suppose that many DJs could play it.

The second track BEYOND has an opposite attitude. Dark, melancholic mental techno stuff. Amazing break, massive groove and a very simple, but professional melody as drive.

Big news: DANITO is on board with an excellent remix. He made a trippy deep melodic house tune for the title track Explore. It is also very unique in the genre.

The second remix is from NO DISTANCE, the guys made yet another amazing remix with their own signature melodic sound, wide synth riffs, deep basses and driving grooves.

Huminal are back on Einmusika. The amsterdam based duo created a beautiful EP with their typical signature sound. "Restless Desire" is an uplifting and positive melodic techno tune with a simple and catchy main melody. "Ecliptica" is more calm and groovy. The track opens up during the break with a processed vocal sample. "Remove The Comfort Zone" is a perfect track for the after-hour with it's crazy effect sounds and a strong beat.

Sincopat presents an essential talent in the Indian scene. Aaryan is both a veteran DJ and a producer whose sound traverses genre frameworks. He shows his forward- thinking vision in this two-tracker EP for our refreshed BeenTouched series.
Nemea starts the fireworks with an innovative and hypnotic groove with plenty of special effects and details. The track also surprises in the breakdown with a crazy treatment of the synths to get the madness on the dancefloor. Barbour's Comino single is the subject of this fine remix package on Isolabella Recordings with Carsten Halm, Raphael Hofman, Whirl and Spuri all stepping up.

Comino (Carsten Halm Remix) is a deep trip with a nice dreamy lead that dances over the heavy, rumbling kicks. It's filled with subtle cosmic drama and then Comino (Raphael Hofman Remix) is a more bright and airy tune, with hope in the chords and feel good vibes really washing over you.

For their part, Whirl then layers in some silky pads and neat keys that dance over the drums to bring feelings of real optimism and majestic colour. Last of all, Spuri is the most dreamy of the lot, with heavenly chords and lush ambient designs all unfolding above the rolling drums.

🇺🇸ENG: We present to your attention, the twenty-sixth release from Bassmatic Records! Its participants were the joint works of our residents: Nobe, John Candy. The first track was Zodiac, it combines layered arpeggiators and strong, consistent energy, with incredible sound design and atmosphere! The second work was Again, a dynamic track with wavy bass, a beautiful melodic component and signature sound!

Nobe, John Candy - Again (Original Mix)

Barbour's Comino single is the subject of this fine remix package on Isolabella Recordings with Carsten Halm, Raphael Hofman, Whirl and Spuri all stepping up.

Comino (Carsten Halm Remix) is a deep trip with a nice dreamy lead that dances over the heavy, rumbling kicks. It's filled with subtle cosmic drama and then Comino (Raphael Hofman Remix) is a more bright and airy tune, with hope in the chords and feel good vibes really washing over you.

For their part, Whirl then layers in some silky pads and neat keys that dance over the drums to bring feelings of real optimism and majestic colour. Last of all, Spuri is the most dreamy of the lot, with heavenly chords and lush ambient designs all unfolding above the rolling drums.

This is classy melodic techno from all.

Lauren Mia hails from LA and writes ethereal and melodic techno that takes you to another spiritual realm. Here she impresses once more with two majestic new tracks on Isolabella Recordings.

The opener Colours is a spine tingling tune with broad and sweeping synths, bubbling drums and a nice warm, pillow-y groove into which you can sink and get lost. Labyrinth then has a nice freewheeling synth line taking the lead as it rides up and down the scale. More rich drums sink you into a nice headspace and the majestic chords unfold up top like stars in a cosmic sky.

This is another stylish EP from Lauren Mia.
