For the first release of 2022, we are pleased to welcome Amsterdam- based Romanian Alex Preda, who already participated in Odd Echoes Vol. 3, and this time, he presents his debut EP  ̈Moons & Stars ̈ on the label with a fabulous remix by Lexer.

The Preda sound has developed over the years, with his taste developing into the electronic sounds of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis in his teens, into his signature driving techno. 

Always with an element of warmth and melody underneath and has evolved into integrating live elements into his performances, something Alex has been perfecting over the years.

The lead track Might Be Love ft. Katty Heath, is the perfect opener, full of groove and catchy melodies, that play along with the fx lead vocal, creating a super club piece.

Lexer approaches the reinterpretation of the lead track, adding new and catchy melodies, synthesizers and textures, giving his well-known stamp and taking the version to his own terrain.

Delving deeper into the EP, we find more of Alex's signature sound, but with a deeper and more emotional touch as shown in  ̈Don't Move" where the focus is on the beautiful chords that make the perfect match with the celestial synth melodies.

To close the EP we have “Searching” which is also another dance floor oriented track, fitted especially to turn the heat on the on any set. And last but not least, “Away from IT” is the perfect electronica/breaks closing track to round up this special EP.

ATL066 sees the first Atlant EP for Final Request after 'Amore' on Voyager III gave a glimpse into his talents. In between Final Request has released the acclaimed 'Fallen Enemies' EP on Dynamic, receiving plays from Tale of Us, Solomun, BOg and Fideles - with the title track gaining the much coveted Essential New Tune status on Pete Tong's Global Dance HQ for BBC Radio 1.

Energetic lead track 'Flying Without Wings' seizes your attention straight away with its punchy kick, throbbing bass, staccato keys and effervescent arps. Final Request builds up the tension by increments - before you know it the track erupts, guaranteeing happy faces on the dance-floor and a sea of flying arms punching the air.

Next up is 'A Journey Through The Heart' which is a focused melodic DJ tool giving further insight into Final Request's production talent. The lush hook and warm chords give you a hug, while the groove keeps you moving. The bass-line drops to a minor key adding tension, paving the way for detuned synth lines and stuttered beats to take over, elevating the listener to new heights. Classy and cool simultaneously.

Closing out the EP is 'Shanghai 404' which shows yet another side to Final Request. This futuristic electronica pays homage to the likes of Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder, while very much being for here and now. Starting with an electro vibe and sequenced synths, Final Request adds tasteful atmospherics and plays around with the arrangement - teasing the listener while maintaining the deep dance groove.

‘Over Me’ centres around an intense low key male vocal, underpinned by an edgy rasping shuffled groove. Dynamics are masterfully controlled, as Losless blends atmospheric echoed crashes with cavernous arp lines and throbbing bass to deliver just the right level of drama.

Norwegian duo Ost & Kjex are definitely long-time players on the scene. Hailing from cozy and quiet Oslo, this 'hat-wearing' band has never solely stuck to any of the existing genres of the electronic palette, swaying and ideally balancing between underground electronic music and Indie pop music. Marking the list of the worldwide respected artists co-working for collaborations with Ost & Kjex, which include Diynamic's honcho Solomun, Jamie Jones, HOSH, alongside three masterpiece albums, the tracks of which have been our the most intimate life soundtracks during the 2000s and 2010s, we can't be happier than now to release this gorgeous EP on Eleatics.
The main title 'Kaputt' is a jewel. Tied with it's extended and colorful melodies it brings a very lyric mood, which is only multiplied with the tender, pleasant and distinctive vocals.
Dutch producer Karmon makes the original breathing in his way: creating and adding so much background and barely heard, but working sounds and layers, which do help for this version to sound and to be called a 'hit' one. Brilliant appearance.
Italian duo Moonwalk is harmonizing 'Kaputt' and let the original to be implied with their vision: effective, punching and clearly working one.
'No9' is throwing us to another pole of Ost & Kjex: experimental and contrasted. Crunchy percussions and dark synthesizing sounds leave a solid impact on the sterling package.
So play these loud, feel these frankly, dance crazy with these.
