Our first release of the new decade comes from @mikekoglin in the shape of Sphere, a driving progressive gem that combines techno-tinged beats with soaring arpeggios and gritty analogue synth stabs. Mike has been busy in the studio working on a series of deeper progressive and melodic techno productions, so watch out for more releases in 2020!

Sphere receives the remix treatment from @movementmachina who delivers a superb stripped-back, percussion-heavy interpretation of the original. With recent releases on labels such as Toolroom, ZeroThree and Mango Alley, the Helsinki-based producer and remixer has rapidly built a strong reputation in the scene with his distinctive style.

A timeless favourite and Above & Beyond's most established release under their OceanLab guise (alongside Justine Suissa), "Satellite" celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Having stormed the UK charts and Radio 1 playlist in 2004, the time was right for a rework for the modern dance floor and here it comes courtesy of Anjuna man of the moment, ilan Bluestone. 

Chronicling the difficulties of long distance love, "Satellite" is a poignant  tale, delivered by the deep and emotive voice of Justine. Having received the nod from the don of dance music Pete Tong for his recent "Big Ben" EP, ilan Bluestone's rework keeps the frenetic energy of the original at its heart; a scintillating groove offsetting the rich uplifting orchestral breakdown. Having made his Intec debut in 2018, Eats Everything is back on the label for his hotly anticipated follow up in the techno style he has released on labels ranging from Dense & Pikas Kneaded Pains to Pan-Pot's Second State.

Eats Everything first made waves as a bass heavy house producer who took the scene by storm releasing on the likes of Dirtybird, Pets Recordings and Relief, but with an ever-evolving style he is now equally respected in the world of both house and techno.

His techno exploits also include setting up EI8HT, which is a label run in collaboration with Andres Campo, thats featured genre leading artists such as Truncate.

Openly describing himself as a Carl Cox fanboy, Eats Everything lists Intec as a landmark label he has always wanted to feature on.

Opening the release are the punishing clap rhythms and stabbing chords of Bill Murray which has rave inspired vocal bursts fused with acid synths. Taking timeless elements, this fast-packed track is jackin' techno tailor-made for peak time plays.

EEE's has a tongue-in-cheek title inspired by the seductive vocal loop. With a rolling groove and fast-paced percussion, this hypnotic track has a dark atmosphere combined with machine funk.

have had the name and idea for this Stimulateur release and series for years but it wasn’t until now I felt the time and music was right. This new series will be my personal playground with no specific concepts and musical genres.
Following my heart and ears. Being present. Being Noir.

 These tracks were created from a lot of live sessions and not so much from programming. I felt that gave my “man vs machine” interaction more nerve and real dynamics. V1 is emotional and dark. Gritty and raw. A true reflection of how I like my music in 2020.
Each track has personal depth for me and feels like the perfect fit for my first edition of the Stimulateur series.

“When I was a kid I was spellbound by this book called “Where the wild things were“, about a naughty kid who sales away to some faraway island and gets declared king by a gang of huge hairy creatures. Spike Jonze’s awesome movie interpretation, which came out about 10 years ago, kicks off with an incredible haunting female humming melody (Karen O - Igloo) which really caught my attention. 

After the success of mine and James’ Xinobi remix a few years back, in which the main hook is a looping female hum of similar qualities, I couldn’t help but wonder how this movie intro voice would work in the context of a club track. As I was working on some ideas with this, my daughter came downstairs to the studio and muttered the immortal line “This sounds like a night whisper“. Feeling a rush of inspiration and clarity, James and I knocked together an early demo which was first dropped at Anjunadeep Gramps in Miami 2018. Following a couple of years road-testing, sample clearance/replay, and endless tweaking, we finally nailed it in time for inclusion on Anjunadeep 11 - a great bit of exposure for this album’s lead track“

Next up for Sudbeat steps Fran Von Vie, the talented Spaniard who has seen his work on M-nus and Last Night On Earth and delivers a warm delicious building gem in Wake Me Up When Everything Has Changed.
Oozing of quality, keeping the vibe deep, while the pads raise the temperature to a peak time level, the vocal samples draws you in and make you smile and you realise that this track really is a quality gem.
First of the remixes goes to Dutch maestro Egbert. He has been making himself one of the most in demand producers of the techno scene having released on Cocoon , Tronic and Gem. His remix takes us deeper, while adding a techier edge, with cool percussion and manages to hold us down as the track grooves along. Crisp clicks meet intricate patterns while the vocal sneaks in and blissful sounds awash your mind.The warmth from the original seeps through as this uber cool remix develops.
Closing the packge are Audiotox & Watson from label boss Hernan Cattaneo's home country of Argentina. These guys are really turning out some quality tracks on fine labels including 99 Percent and Bonzai Progressive.
This remix utilises the big pads from the original, while the deep and warm bass sounds glide over the cool beats. Its hypnotically sizzling along, gently clutching you close, allowing you to dream snugly as you move.
