As the autumn season gently unfurls, bringing cooler days and longer nights, we often find ourselves drawn indoors, where the world slows down just a bit. This time of year invites moments of introspection and the soothing balm of stress relief, creating the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in calming and tranquil sounds. 

Unrush is pleased to welcome Low Velocity Soundsystem from Leipzig & Halle to this journey. Since debuting in 2018 as part of the event series “Time To Get Lost” in Halle, LVS has cultivated a space beyond the dance floor, inspired by the legendary 90s chill-out rooms. Gregor and John have created a musical environment where ambient textures converge with trip-hop, drone, techno, and dub, revealing a deep appreciation for atmosphere and mood.

Gregor is part of the team at Connwax, which hosts a long-standing label night at Leipzig’s IfZ, while John hosts the Folding Realities radio show on Callshop Radio, also working as a live-act and producer. Both bring their unique personalities to the track selection, blending their expansive music collections with a genuine and passionate spirit.

This set reflects their vibe—a unique blend of ambient-dub, drawing subtle connections to the club scene, and tinged with a delicate hint of melancholy. Without much discussion beforehand, they found themselves aligned, crafting a curation that speaks to the introspective side of the season. So sit back, breathe deeply, and let the sounds guide you through a moment of calm...

It's the first sunday of December and this is the 123rd Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. These monthly released sessions brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. 

As always try in december to invite an amazing artist for the serie and I am very proud that Inhmost is closing the Ambient Sessions for 2024!

About:
Inhmost aka Simon Huxtable ( Aural Imbalance) has been writing and creating atmospheric music since 1997, creating deep emotive tracks across many electronic music genres including drum & bass and spacey house / progressive. 

But Inhmost is his project to create meditative ambient music. Having the experience to create atmosphere in his DnB music and his progressive background, his ambient brings it to the next level.

This mixtape contains his released music but also upcoming tracks and inspiring music aswell from artists around the globe.

Welcome to the 9th chapter of the Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. This time a mix by Kris Dubinsky from Sweden. Far away sounds, textures, rhythms and Atmosphere that's all about in this smooth ambient mix!  

Bios
Swedish producer and DJ Kris Dubinsky has been making electronic music since his first discovery of tracker programs and analogue synths in 2004. For a long time just making music for himself and close friends, he has during the last years released music on various labels such as Moshitaka, Spiel:Field, Spaceal Orbeats Records and Drift Deeper recordings. He has also started to DJ the music he loves at small forest parties and various podcasts. Several releases is in the pipeline. A full ambient-oriented album with Warmth is scheudled, and a vinyl release on Nobody Homes (aka Minilogue) new label Home is also planed for 2016. In addition, an upcoming EP on Kabalion Records is soon to come.  
A researcher in psychology (flotation tanks & altered states of consciousness) at Karlstad University Kris spends most of his spare time making music from synths, field recordings and his computer. His greatest musical influences are from artists such as Deepchord, Biosphere, Minilogue, and anything transmitting authentic and deep emotions. Kris strongly believes that music can be a powerful tool to bring back some magic to our current materialistic oriented world. He currently resides in the northern part of Sweden with his girlfriend and 1 year old daughter.

It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us failing to fit the patriarchal neoliberalist mould, we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. In a world where security is no longer feasible, the only constant we can rely on is change. Regardless of one’s point of reference, we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on.

This month we have invited @saphileaum to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these anxieties. A temporary suspension of reality, where the listener can speculate on alternate modes of existence that reject hetero-patriarchal systems of oppression.

Saphileaum is one of the names of Georgian multi-media artist,
Andro Gogibedashvili. The moniker Saphileaum was born in 2015, highly inspired by esoteric, mystic, new age, cosmic and visionary art and teachings, which hold a huge role and are still a source of constant inspiration. Saphileaum’s sound is often described as cosmic,
spherical, light, visionary, innovative, tribal and hypnotic. 

Alongside producing music, Andro also runs the Theosophy label which is focused on spreading the essence of Theosophycal teachings and meditative ambient music in Tbilisi. He also runs his own small imprint based in Tbilisi, which he feels to be more than just a record label, it is a multi-media platform called Expeditions Above, focused on inspecting the inner and outer unexplored dimensions and realms.
