This is the 108th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. These monthly released sessions brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. I am very excited for this months session because Karen Vogt is presenting her mix with fresh new music and  dives into atmosphere, nature, chanting and peaceful little sounds that emerge in all tracks that she selected for this occassion.

About:
Karen Vogt is an Australian artist who uses her voice primarily to create atmospheric compositions. Mostly known for her ethereal, shimmering vocals with Australian dream-pop band Heligoland, that she co-founded in 1999 (produced by Robin Guthrie). She is now based in Paris, France and composes experimental and ambient solo works based around improvisation, often manipulating her vocals to add layers of emotional depth to her works. She also has a fortnightly radio show on CAMP where she plays 2 hours of new ambient, electronic and experimental music.
Her mix for September is inspired by the shift in the weather from late Summer to early Autumn. Her intention was to create a soundtrack with which to watch the fading light and feel the temperature drop. The mix includes an exclusive unreleased track from the forthcoming Guentner | Spieth album (out on AFFIN in October) along with a selection of new releases ranging from experimental ambient to pop ambient. Some vocal ambient tracks are included with Vogt's own works, remixes of her work and her GALÁN / VOGT collaboration with Spanish composer Pepo Galán.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Night Sea is a French-American duo working at the intersection of ambient music and generative audiovisuals. Their music focuses on the hypnotic and meditative experience of sound, combining textural atmospheres and subtle dub rhythms into an entrancing haze. 

Description
We created this video to capture new material we recently wrote for a live performance at the Chillits Music Festival in Mendocino, CA. The music was written specifically for this performance using samples and stems from all across our discography and unreleased material. The result is new yet familiar, re-examining our process and sound from new angles. The video was set up to capture the stillness and beauty of this moment in time as California transitions into fall, a season of pale blue skies, crisp air, and restorative rainfalls.

The live setup primarily revolves around the use of the Borderlands app (a granular synthesizer) running on two separate iPads, Ableton Push for drums, a midi mixer, a modular synthesizer for sampling and manipulating live audio, a 303 clone, and a drone synth. 

Recorded in our home studio in Alameda, CA on October 5th, 2023.

Endurance is the ambient project of Canadian-born Joshua Stefane.
Using modular synthesizers, field recordings, and cassette tapes,
Endurance’s sound has become increasing minimal and tonally-
focused over the years, employing a minimum of elements to create
a maximum of expressiveness. In addition to releasing from labels
such as Constellation Tatsu and Mystery Circles, Endurance also
curates the Japan-based tape label Muzan Editions. He is part of the organizing team for Moment, a techno festival in Nara, and
SLOWMOTION, a regular ambient party in Osaka in collaboration
with AOKI takamasa and Loe. He has appeared at numerous high-
profile events such as Kyoto’s Star Festival, Moment, and Rural, and
has performed with artists such as Neel, Peter van Hoesen, and Wata Igarashi.
