Good morning, and welcome to the quietest week of the year. Did you have a good holiday? Before I sign off for the year, I think I’ve got one more gem to share with you. Here's a wonderful label showcase and a reflection on this past year from a lovely independent Valencia-based imprint, Archives, curated and operated by Agustín Mena, aka Warmth. I’ve profiled plenty of its releases since its inception in 2015, and I must admit that Warmth’s Parallel (2018) has been on repeat more than others. If anything, it is only rivalled by Glow, which is his collaboration with Fionnlagh, recently released on December 8th, 2023 (you’ll hear a few tracks on this mix). About:
GAMADON (aka GAvin MAc DONagh) started buying records and DJing in 1996 in Dublin, Ireland. Established the Warehouse Manifesto (WM) record label and guest mix series in 2020. He has a monthly livestream/show for Electronic Convergence playing deep electro and occasionally deep house/techno. Had the privilege of warming up for The Prodigy, on their European tour in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg in 2015-2016.

This month Chris in joining the serie with is mixtape that is more melancholy in sounds but also reflects the sound of the Fall. A perfect moment for this release So enjoy.

About:

After 20years of DJing for mainly personal enjoyment, more recently Chris transitioned from techno / house to curating mixes in the ambient genre after his relatively recent foray into deep listening through meditation. This mix takes inspiration from his frequent runs / hikes around the south of England & in Scotland where the music is a key component of the experience. He's been a fan of the ambient genre for many years & this mix reflects the music that contributes towards the atmosphere of being in special places, usually very early in the morning, but equally is suited to deep listening sessions where he hopes the music can create a journey that takes the listener through a journey of textures, melodies & emotions with frequencies that can help contribute towards a state of deep relaxation.
