Kid606 delivers the third instalment of the IA x Krake Mix Series with a recording of his DJ set at Suicide Circus from Krake 2012. Over the past 15 years Kid606 aka Miguel Manuel De Pedro has released 17 albums, an extraordinary body of work that explores all types and varieties of electronic music. With a new album on the cusp of release we sat down with Miguel to find about his experience of Krake Festival last year as well as how he is developing as an artist and as label owner.

Welcome to the 1th chapter of the Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. This is the very first podcast to explore the realms of Ambient music. The first producer is Cryobiosis! Enjoy a journey into the spherical sounds and field recording dwelling in textures. Sometimes dark but always with a touch of brightness. Sit back and enjoy!!

Bio:

  Cryobiosis is an ambient project from Cluj, Romania created by Cristian Voicu. The project attempts to paint with sound the environment and feelings that surround a man who awakens in a harsh and frigid post-apocalyptic world. Industrial ruins spread before his eyes while strange voices and distant signals echo through the dark mist. As he begins to discover the remnants of the old world, past memories of atrocities and terrible wars unfold inside his shattered memory.The music generally consists of haunting pads blended with field recordings, piano melodies and subtle rhythms. A lot of care has been put in the details and quality of the tracks.

   The first Cryobiosis album, “From the Depths” has been released in August 2012. In the fall of 2012, Cryobiosis became a part of the Cryo Chamber label and contributed a song, “Departure” to the label’s first compilation, “Behind The Canvas Of Time”. The second Cryobiosis album, titled “Within Ruins” was released in 2013 on Cryo Chamber and was well received by critics and listeners. "Inner Stasis" was released in July 2014 on Cryo Chamber, continuing and completing the bleak story from the previous albums.

Meeting up on the Interwebz somewhere in '98, a mutual love for drum 'n' bass was the foundation for a great friendship and a musical alliance in multiple genres. After hosting radioshows and DJ'ing for years, Cyance is currently producing and remixing tracks for labels like Mindtrick and Touched. Southern Depot has never lost and will never lose his love for drums, but a new passion for quite the opposite in the musical spectrum surfaced some years back for the both of them: ambient music from light to dark. Together, Cyance and Southern Depot create their 'Aerial Views' ambient mixes.

Ambient Sessions # 04 - Darren Harper

Welcome to the 72nd chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. This time mixed by Lars leonhard. A mixture full of texture, rhythm, deepness and more. So enjoy this special set!

Bio:

Lars Leonhard was born in 1973 in Hilden (Duesseldorf). In Lars’ early childhood he recognized his passion for music. In the early 90’s he decided to produce his own music. His affinity to electronically music leads him to ambient, dub techno and deep house music.
The electro musician Lars Leonhard from Düsseldorf/Germany focuses on suggestive sounds. 15 years ago, he made his first experiences with industrial and easy listening productions. At that time, he established his sound basis for his in 2002 founded punk rockband „Chaos Digital“. Till their breakup in 2006 , the band created catchy songs like „Keine wie Du“ for the local music scene.
Concurrently to concerts and performances, Lars worked solely on his own tracks followed by TV jingles for brands and a soundtrack for a graffiti documentation by Robert Kaltenhäuser. Four years ago, he went to Japan and worked temporarily for the German Pavilion during the World Fair „Expo 2005“.  For his further career, he uses his own name „Lars Leonhard“ to proceed.
Electro fans of unique ambient, electro, tech and deep house tracks will admire Lars Leonhard.  In 2010, Lars signed a label contract at BineMusic in Essen/Germany which cooperates with artists like Move D, Benjamin Brunn, Scanner and Martin Nonstatic. Since his debut in 2010 with the release of his track “Citylights” on the compilation Various Artists/ BineVolume I, he further released till now two CD albums Alben „1549“ and „Seasons – Les Quatre Saisons“ thus a vinyl 12 EP „ No Comment„.
Furthermore, a “yellow clear” vinyl on the label “DimbiDeep has been released with the title „Lars Leonhard / Shebuzzz / Supererde / Grasses Of The Past”.
Additionally, innumerable tracks on several labels have been released. Major part of those are digital releases are available in major Music stores.
The year 2013 has been a milestone in Lars career. The American space agency NASA spotted Lars on YouTube and engaged him on a long-term basis. Several scientific videos what are observed and recorded by satellites were highlighted in music by Lars Leonhard. Two videos of that amazing cooperation of both parties can be watched on YouTube.

Deep Electronics Podcast # 72 - Lars Leonhard

Welcome to the 5th chapter of the Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. MIxed by Apobothra from Moscow, Russia.

Bio:

Aleksei Klimkin (Apobothra) is a Moscow based electronic music producer who has been inspired by such musicians as The Future Sound of London, Autechre, Biosphere, Brian Eno, Basic Channel / Rhythm & Sound, DeepChord / Echospace, ASC / Mindpsan, bvdub, Fluxion, Quantec, Fingers In The Noise and others. Starting with drum&bass in 2006 his tastes have gradually shifted to deeper electronic music such as dub techno, deep techno and ambient. Many of his tracks have been supported by some big names on the scene. His first release with Apobothra alias was released on Spaceal Orbeats label in the end of 2013 and simultaneously became his first album. It is called ‘In Search for an Explanation’ and the production style there is based on author’s intoxication by science and particularly by astrophysics.
In real life "Apobothra" is an astronomical term whose meaning is quite similar to "Apogee", but while Apogee is the point of greatest distance between the Earth and its orbiting object, Apobothra is the furthermost point on the Black Hole orbit.

'Sea Shores' is the debut album of Polaroid Notes. It tries to capture the grandeur of the sea, its beauty and the deep unexplored secrets beyond. It reflects the transience of nature and its constant change. Whether it be towering mountains, expansive hot desert or the deep blue sea, Polaroid Notes is influenced by the majestic width and overwhelming power of nature. 
'Sea Shores' is cinematic in sound, as Polaroid Notes are spun from simple yet effected piano keys with wave upon wave of stark, arresting drones. 

For this release, Tessellate Recordings has put together a limited edition package using retro vinyl-effect CDs with circular sleeves and stunningly minimal artwork by 0 1 0 0 5 2 0. There are just 100 copies available to the world and each copy is supplied with an immediate download which includes bonus black and white photographs for each track, taken by Polaroid Notes between 1991 and 2015 at various lakes and sea-side locations including: Bodensee, Chiemsee, Ammersee (all Bavaria/South Germany), Lake Geneva (Switzerland) Mediterranean Sea near Venice and Liguria (Italy) and Andalusia (Spain), Baltic Sea and North Sea (North Germany), Atlantic Ocean (Bretagne/France)

Luigi’s music has so far been released on the established label Dynamic Reflection as well as setting a regular cooperation with the very promising and mysterious techno label Hypnus Recordsfrom Sweden, where he found a platform that inspired him to develop his style. "Welcome to Feed The Raver podcast. My name is Craft and this week we present Tawbaq from Poznań in Poland.

He is a talented producer and owner of Hypnotic Landscapes Records. He began his interest in electronic music around 15 years ago. His sets are deep and hypnotic techno and occasionally performs more ambient and experimental. He released on several labels and his debut album in 2014 was titled 'Other Side Of The Planet' on Dirty Stuff Records. Upcoming releases include an EP on Circular Limited and is currently working on a second album.
