Wave Track #7 comes to us from St Celfer, a Korean-American sound artist and musician who splits his time between Sao Paulo and Seattle. His track, Fifty One, wastes no time announcing itself, beginning with a sequence of machine-like, harsh sounds that rise in volume before slowly giving way to a melancholic rhythm, interspersed with soft tones that combine to create a nostalgic, almost cinematic quality. In just under three minutes, St Celfer manages to elicit a strong yearning for elsewhere, a sensibility that encapsulates–and communicates with–the other works presented in Infrasonica’s Wave #7. Fifty One

Welcome to the 22nd chapter of the monthly Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics.
This month we present what can be described as the current 'collected works' by Jeremy Clarke and his collaboration with SVSh.  A gorgeous long player, taking us on a journey through a mystical landscape.  It is indeed the landscape of the 'everyday', but not as we know it.  It is, however, a landscape as we could know it, if we gave it our full attention.

As Jeremy has previously stated, 'In our blinkered, urban hurrying, we've stopped attending - to anything that is outside of our own 'purpose'.  What doesn't serve us, doesn't matter.  When we lose sight of the small details, of the incidental, we risk losing a sense of the sacred.  And in so doing, risk losing ourselves.
There is a quiet, meticulous, fragile world that coexists with our own dailiness.  We need to look and listen for it.  It is offering us something - about itself, about us.'

Ishtadi means purification of the senses in Sanskrit;
The prerequisite of being absorbed in presence.

Performing live, Ishtadi conjures intricately interweaving sound textures, in the form of electronic productions made from his recordings of nature, real instruments and places, meanwhile playing ancient instruments like Didgeridoo, Ngoni, Drums and Spirit Flute.
It’s a unique improvised journey inviting the body and mind to enter slower brainwave frequencies, allowing for the listener easily to dive deep - into the now.

"At Move Copenhagen Festival it's about moving.  But sometimes we need to relax too.
Finishing the workshops before lunch, our Nature Tales Chill Out tent got crowded with people on top of eachother, taking that moment.
Integrating and digesting.
It seemed like the air was thick like butter, sparkles flying around and the sun shining bright. I don’t know where exactly I went, when playing the Ngoni, but somewhere beyond indeed."

In 2014 I started the Ambient Sessions. That was a good step in the right direction. After releasing every first sunday of the month in 6 years. It was time for a compilation. 29 selected ambient tracks are to be found here. As always in a diversity of artists and production.
