Mindcast.08 // Monolog - Live recording for Mindcast 12/2013

Following an epic session in the studio – we felt it was apt for us to end the year with this live recording from our friend and highly respected artist, MONOLOG (http://bitreactor.dk/pages/bio.html), who created a very special ambient set for our podcast series. 

Live guitar riffs stimulate the aesthetics of Mads Lindgren´s first ever ambient soundtrack - orchestrated for this particular session of the Mindcast. From creating no-mercy basslines – to the arrangement of this purely emotive, drone-like sound that's devoid of the bass-drum: it's a rare production that shows a unique musical transformation for the artist – so we are very happy and thankful for this opportunity to share his vision with you here. 

On that note, it's also been a fine old year for the Mindwaves Music crew: so far so good, which is only thanks to the artists that have participated with their finely-tuned expresssions of sound. Their passion and dedication to the communication of sonic vibrations has been relentless and we extend our everlasting appreciation to them for helping us show that it's all about the music and no less! 

Thanks to each and every single artist for bringing their music to the label and our new Mindcast platform. We look forwards to projecting more unique and vibrant sounds from many more artists in 2014. See you on the other side.

Anders Hellberg grew up in the south of Sweden and started producing music at the age of 17. 

Today he lives in Berlin where he has his home, studio. 

Anders loves to work with analogue gear to get a crispy sound and a creative work flow. Hes live sets i preformed with machines only and his tracks are solid and bass heavy techno with a droning landscapes and driven intensity. Inspiration is his friends, Berlin, Techno vinyls as well as tracks he heard in his early days.

"If you ever heard the name Michel Isorinne, it was probably in some kind of connection with his involvement in the two man group D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. (@darfdhs)together with Jonas Rönnberg (@varg).

And if you heard his or read his name unaffiliated to D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. it was most likely from his vinyl debut this year on the Dutch label Field Records with the experimental ambient affair dubbed "Recollections of Forgotten Dreams".

But then again, you might be one of those few who actually knows he started his solo career with the release "Varseblivning" on the Northern Electronics (@northernelectronics) sub label Blodörn (@https://soundcloud.com/blod-rn) and that he followed up with two other tapes ("1980" & "2061") on Rimini based record store and label MIXED-UP (@mixedupitaly) and also put out yet another tape of collaborative works dubbed "Samarbeten" on Danish label Infinite Waves (@infinitewaves) in 2015.

Since beginning his career Krisyon has already shared the stage with some of the most widely known and esteemed musicians 
in the underground electronic music scene and has performed at many festivals and clubs throughout Europe.
In July 2015 Krisyon set up his own record label Tenebrous Music with a clear vision to provide
a professional platform for forward thinking concepts that don't necessarily conforming to norms. 
At roughly the same time in 2015, Krisyon joined Fnoob Techno Radio as a resident DJ. 

Krisyon's music can be described as dark, deep, minimal, atmospheric, and experimental.

Experience a tempest of feelings and emotions rising from the depths, consciousness frozen in an instant of the present. 
A transformation sets in motion and the path from darkness to the light returns.

Od początku swojej kariery Krisyon dzielił scenę z jednymi z najbardziej znanych i cenionych muzyków podziemnej sceny elektronicznej, występując na wielu festiwalach i klubach w całej Europie. 

W lipcu 2015 roku postanowił założyć własną wytwórnię - Tenebrous Music. Powstała ona z potrzeby propagowania koncepcji myślowych, które mają zbyt nietypowy charakter, by wydać je „zewnętrznym” kanałem. W tym samym roku Krisyon dołączył jako rezydent do Fnoob Techno Radio.

Jego selekcja to brzmienia ciemne, głębokie, atmosferyczne i eksperymentalne - wszystko to zaklęte w estetyce minimal. 

Podążając mrocznymi ścieżkami, zatracając się w ciemnej otchłani, poczekajmy aż wróci światło i poznajmy je na nowo.

DYNAMIKA - Fantasma Mix

Welcome to the 34th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics.
This monthly released podcast brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. This months session is created by Periskop.

Known for his Immerse lp on Kabalion but also for his dark field recordings, sounds and textures this set takes you to a diversity of ancient music and chants of monks with in between a moment of darkness with a touch of light. All combined into a well balanced and harmonic arangement of ambient music.

Bio:

Periskop is a solo music project by Danish electronic music producer Danny Kreutzfeldt. It was started in 2003 as one of many monikers used in the 00s by Danny Kreutzfeldt to release and perform different styles of electronic music. From dark ambient through deep industrial/dubby techno to experimental sound design, speedcore and harshnoise.

About the Mix:

Containing tracks from 1994-2017 and numerous styles of soundscapes, it is hard to pinpoint one single theme of this set other than a certain brooding introspective mood, that always set in, when I end up working on music. Going one step deeper, however, it is possible to talk about several themes within the set. There is the cathartic angle stemming from the development through the set: From the glacial otherworldly isolationist ambient of Seht and Thomas Köner through several stages of textures, experimentation and rhythm to end up in more extreme soundscapes. There is the timelessness of certain soundscapes, that have stayed with me over the years: How old school industrial ambient like Rapoon, Lustmord and (certain material of) Biosphere connects with certain ambient music cultures of today - like output from both the Cryo Chamber and Northern Electronics labels or, indeed, dungeon synth by Hedge Wizard. Or how the early digital soundscapes of the glitch-movement in the early 00’s still sound completely contemporary to my ears. Vladislav Delay, Fennesz, Senking etc. And then there is the perspective, where the set could be seen as some sort of extended electronic ritual in terms of maintaining a certain steady flow throughout several repetitive tracks. Particularly from The Haxan Cloax, several contemporary deep techno acts and others already mentioned. This comes rather subconsciously to me as a DJ, as the ritual/hypnotic aspect is present in almost all the music I enjoy regardless of genre. The set was made in May-June 2017 through several sessions of re-iteration after an initial all-night session, where potential tracks were tried out against each other. I feel it is the best I can do at this point in time in terms of giving a fulfilling immersive inner cinema experience.

Dark, evil dubstep and drum 'n bass, with a touch of H. P. Lovecraft. Studio version of set that was first played live @ DJ Marathon III on September the 11th 2009 at 1000fryd, Aalborg.

Here it is. An episode we've been looking forward to very much. The 31th recording is one by Danny Kreutzfeldt, aka PERISKOP. 

His roots lie deep in the 90's rave and industrial/experimental scene. In 2003, the Dane started Periskop, his only solo project mainly dealing with dark ambient and deep techno. Over the past 16 years he released on labels such as Hypnus/Kabalion, Affin and Iboga.

The set Periskop made for us interprets space as abyss, and explores both inner and outer depths. It consists of dark ambient, ritual music and bleak electronica from 1996 onwards.
