'This mix takes its focus away from Cherub's usual 4-to-the-floor environment and concerns itself with themes of child-like wonderment, play and vulnerability. Weaving in samples from crowded beaches, children screaming in delight in playgrounds and running water, a playful yet poignantly meaningful soundscape is created using balaeric-infused, trance-influenced and 90's ambient.'

Fields We Found is the moniker of an artist and the newly-launched quiet details label founder, bathing our ears with ambient bliss. In the last few years, we were gifted with deep-evolving soundscapes appearing on Ambientologist, Seil Records, and Handstiched Recordings, with the most recent album, Paths, “… exploring the routes we all choose and where they take us” on Facture. Late in 2022, Alex also put out music on the beloved Home Normal, run with tremendous devotion by the one and only Ian Hawgood. Today’s mix on Headphone Commute Podcast is essentially a love letter to our mutually adored ambient imprint, showcasing a lot of the beautiful music appearing on the label. The Script Series will feature periodic mixes exploring inspirations drawn upon via my long standing love of movie scores.

To begin the series, the first scene is called Remember. This mix stems from one of my favorite movie soundtracks and scores, the Lion King. Hans Zimmer’s masterpiece was an early inspiration in my path as a producer - I was stunned by how well the score intertwined with the pictures. To this day, it is one of the few scores that subconsciously produces images from the movie through the music.

Bio:

I played the drums for 8 years, played in an orchestra and, incidentally, in a music school for music theory and drum lessons.

After some time, my music style has changed.

From the day I found a lot of electronic music of all kinds of techno, hard techno, drum and bass, tekno, goa, experimental, deep house and much more.

At some point I happened to hear a mix with Ambient and DubTechno.

I listened excitedly and felt something very special. I felt a very special feeling in me that tells me that I have to break new ground with my musical talent.

I bought all the equipment I needed and exactly 1 year later I had my first appearance as "M-Tric" in the DubTechno Mixshow "ReactorRoom".

And now, I am part of a huge project to make people sound good music and to make them feel where they have arrived. 
I work toghter with very nice people around the world and have my own mix show! (MINDSET) 
now, i am part of a huge family.

Adhémar is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works. Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work. This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows us to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material, immaterial world, the fact that everything is constantly becoming). With a particular rigour for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJset, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all.
