For our twenty-fourth installment we've invited Orca Silent, he is an experimental electronic artist from Coast Salish Territory, blending nature’s raw energy with deep, hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the rugged landscapes off Vancouver Island, their music merges field recordings with generative sound, creating a sonic journey that resonates with depth.

Live performances are a dynamic journey of evolving drones, jungle polyrhythms and complex textures, shaped by granular synthesis and spatial audio techniques. These elements come together to transport audiences into immersive, three-dimensional environments, where sound and space interact in real-time.

Recent releases on Oslated, Secuencia Temporales and forthcoming on Huinali Recordings have gained recognition from the deep end community, with original production sets released on platforms Delayed, Deepbreakfast, and Codecast. Witness the rolling energy of bush tested, Pacific Atmospherics, celebrated coast to coast from Future Forest, through Wonderment, Cascadia NW and beyond.

"Submerge is a rural techno gathering, centred around organic and left-field producers providing dynamic live performances. Evening originated in dreamy, subtle environments evolving into peaktime passages with a heavy emphasis on cold electronica. Closed out the night with this immersive project, modulated over twelve channels and shared on the traditional lands of the T’Sou-ke First Nation in Sooke BC."

Operating on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, Orca Silent channels the sonic weight of the Pacific Northwest, sculpting spectral drones along a hypnotic continuum. Utilizing a 12-channel system, textured atmospheres unravel into tonal decay, forming a mix that feels less like a composition and more like an immersive spatial experience—this episode exploring the quieter dialects of chaos, where rolling ethereal momentum meets weathered coastal design. With recent performances at Submerge, consecutive album drops, and continual podcast output they continue to shape the ambient and 170+ landscapes with unmistakable resonance.

Set of all original music was performed live as a continuous studio session on Vancouver Island.
