Melbourne’s GMJ (Gavin Martin) and Matter (Matty Doyle) joined forces in late 2015, a triggered recognition and magnetism for their shared perspectives and love for deep atmospheric music leading to the formation of the GMJ & Matter collaboration. Over the next 6 years a natural synergy and seamless understanding has seen works constantly flow with remixes for Pole Folder, Juan Deminicis, Nopi, Donny Car & Zankee Gulati amongst a raft of original works on seminal labels including Balance Music, Jee productions, Proton Music, Mango Alley & onedotsixtwo. Studio success has translated into demand from a constantly growing number of respected festivals and clubs both locally and abroad, highlighted by a European Tour in 2019 with gigs for Progressive Astronaut in London and Replug Records 10 year anniversary at ADE in Amsterdam. Joining forces in 2020 with Morning After Agency saw an acceleration and springboard of growth towards headlining gigs both locally and on a global scale. The same year set the stage for the conception and constant growth of the pair's “Meanwhile Recordings” imprint, which opened to high regard throughout the industry, both as a platform for their own signature sounds, and as a home to some of the world’s finest. Bio:

Der Klient is from a small town called Neubukow, which is near Rostock (North Germany). As a big fan of electronic music he started DJing in 2008. He loves nature and particularly comfortableness. Because of that he fell quickly in love with the deep tones of house and techno music. In former times he was inspired by the pulsating sound of "Magda", but today it is rather the sound of "Sven Weisemann" with his relaxed and groovy sets. Der Klient is repeatedly fascinated by him. 
The following sentence is one that der Klient often says and supports: "You do not have to dance only pounding on the floor, but you have to feel the beat." It is no problem for him to stand many hours behind the mixer. Six hours is no rarity. "The longer a set, the more expressive you can shape it", he said.

Bio:

No stranger to the world of electronic music, Dj Mama Purl' The Duchess of Dub has been deeply rooted in the Canadain electronic music scene since the early days when it was still very much underground.
Originating from the prairies of Saskatchewan Canada, Purl was first inspired by the electronic music culture in the early 1990's by local promoters and DJs (Plastic Puppet Motive, Dj Deko-ze, Kevin K and Techno Tom with New House Culture). After a twenty year personal hiatus, Purl has returned to her love of House, Techno and Dub music and has discovered her passion for mixing the sounds she feels eternally connected to. 
"There something about it I cannot get enough of" she states.
Her debute show, opening up for Saskatoon's "Souled Out Wednesday" a resident night promoted by local DJ and producer Dr. J of Roots Forward Records, showcased her skill and has brought her back into the scene she has always loved. Purl has recently been selected by U.K.'s DBS Sounds and has received much internet acclaim for her deep dubby vibes and love for minimal house and techno music. So put on your dancing shoes and discover the kingdom of deeper sounds where Dj Mama Purl' is The Duchess of Dub.

Bio:
Segue is Jordan Sauer from Vancouver, Canada. With a background in classical violin and guitar he now enjoys producing electronic music on his computer. Drawing from a diverse range of influences, the music he creates ranges from ambient and drone to dub and folk. With a keen attention to detail and sound palette in each composition, the music is built up of layers of sound from primarily acoustic sources and field recordings. He has released several solo albums and collaborations which are available on a variety of record labels, including Silent Season, Under the Spire, Databloem, Tokyo Droning, U-Cover.

Fabio Scalabroni is an electronic musician and DJ who has performed since 1997. He has released several tracks under the names of “Scalabroni”, “Cogor”, “Hologram”, “Ambit 3”, “Bit Bucket” and most recently as “Berber”.
Currently he is the owner of the label Biorecordings, where he is working on new tracks as Fabio Scalabroni and Berber.

Deep Electronics Podcast # 184 - Alkini

I had a lot of train journeys recently and I love watching the wires seemingly dance around outside the window. I wondered if we could be getting fooled by a similar process during our usual experience of movement and time, and thought it would be an interesting project for a music video set to the music created during the same journeys.

For the music I wanted to bring ideas of frozen moments of the past into play, and no better excuse to get stuck in with the Prophet 6 on some lush classic analogue synth sounds for the main chord sequence, and plenty of nob noodling for a dance of modulating sounds around the main sequence. I wanted to keep it fairly sparse to let the chord patch be central, and just focus on trying to make every element, including the percussion, warp a little, so you can either listen to the track from a distance and hear the harmonic ideas, or delve in to find all sorts more hiding in there.

After a personal hiatus the Duchess has returned to her love of Dub, Tech, House and Techno music and has discovered her passion for mixing the sounds she feels eternally connected to.
"There something about it I cannot get enough of!" she states.

Her debut show, was opening up for Saskatoon's "Souled Out Wednesday" of June 2013 which was a resident night promoted by local DJ and producer: Dr. J of Roots Forward Records where the show promoted local talent. This was her first gig which showcased her skill and has brought her back into the scene she has always loved.

The Duchess has recently been selected by numerous known netlabels and was featured weekly on Birmingham's Uk's Electroshpere Radio. Featured on Chillkyway.net. And very successful plays in youtube with Berlin's Aixelent channel with over 100,000+ views in all videos total. Screen FM's radio Echogarden and many many more.

Many mixes later (100 in total and growing as more are created) she has received much internet acclaim for her deep dubby vibes and love for minimal dub, tech, house music genres. 

As the vibe of the room and audience wanting even more she can adapt to highten the audience even more by matching with the vibe of the fans there to dance away the night. She can keep them guessing what will be featured at shows attended by the Duchess.
