Stumbling upon an LTJ Bukem mix cd as a teenager, a love for drum ?n bass manifested itself early in Watcher (Arjan van Vliet). After showing much promise as a humble bedroom dj, he set out to make club and radio appearances all over Holland alongside some of the scene?s biggest names, establishing himself as a sought-after opening dj and earning him a Dutch Drum ?n Bass Award nomination in 2007. 

Today Watcher is a seasoned and well-rounded dj who continues to hone his craft and perfect his signature brand of deep, tight and rolling drum ?n bass sets. 

But he also mixed a dark ambient set with ice cold tracks that brings you in a isolation. This mix is highly recommended for headphones!!

Welcome to the 3th chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast mixed by NorthernShore. A trip into deep techno,dubtechno and atmosphere!!

NorthernShore is a project about deep journeys into electronic music. Deeply influenced by the kinds of Echospace, Intrusion, DeepChord & Bvdub these journeys are mainly created for home listening and escaping everyday life. NorthernShore mixes focus on Deep Hypnotic Techno but also on the ambient and experimental part of electronic music and try to create the image that the listener walks alone over an empty long Northern shore while hearing the music... 

The third podcast is a deep voyage into dubtechno, hypnotic techno and atmospheric soundscapes taking you in a world of Deep Electronics!

Welcome to the 20th chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast with StriCt in 

the mix!!

StriCt is BACK! After being the first artist that contributed the very first 

set for the Deep Electronics Podcast. He also joint the Echogarden 

compilation contest this year and his track Myromi ( Deep Electronics Podcast 

mix) was one of the winning tracks!!Now he mixed a new podcast marking the 

20th chapter! A complex and experimental set with the best of IDM,Glitch and 

abstract to date and with his skills to mix a atmospheric but sometimes very 

complex textures and soundscapes this set is a must.

StriCt kicks off a series of podcasts for the dark winter months where the 

days are short and the nights are long. IDM, Ambient, Dark techno, Dark 

minimal and Techno will come to you!

Bio StriCt:

Dutch DJ / Producer StriCt, have been traveling the uncharted terrains of 

music for over 15 years now and has developed himself as one of the most 

opinionated and versatile artists who found in The Netherlands. A shy and 

modest artist who likes to keep a shroud of secrecy around himself.. StriCt's 

musical inspiration is taken from Ambient Avant Garde, Drumstep, Drum&Bass, 

Dubstep, Grime, IDM, Minimal, Obscure Electronica and Soundscapes…

In recent years, he has evolved and showed his many musical sides in a clear 

way to his fans, as StriCt or as one of his aliases.
From 2000 till 2006 he played lot's of local, regional and european venues as 

StriCt, Knëttertøps or Jûhroen.

From 2006 till 2011 he played together with Dutch DJ, Ronald Stoop as; 

Rosto&StriCt
Together they searched the boundaries on both their performance-gear as well 

as their choice of records.. Always merging genres into a collage of soulful 

Techno grooves and unique Minimal atmospheres.

From 2010 till 2011 StriCt was asked for a short collaboration with the very 

talented Lunapark Ensemble. Lunapark plays classical interpretations from 

artists like Aphex Twin, Massive Attack, Steve Reich and Phillip Glass. 
StriCt made a few remixes of there interpretations but only one of those 

remixes was released on CD, wich came out on LP Records in 2011.
In that same year he continued making his well known Phreakin' mix 

compilations. After a 2 year stop he decided to look for a new sound, which 

resulted in a perfect combination of Deep Dubstep, Trippy Electronica, Funky 

Grime, Sick Drumstep and Jump-up Drum&Bass. 
His First mix; Phreakin' (Dubstep Sessions 1.0) even won a highly regarded 

mix-competition on DJBroadcast.nl 
Thanks to this winning mix he got the chance to play at the French festival 

SnowAttack, where he eventually played a closing set after the world famous 

act "Pendulum".

From 2011 till 2012 StriCt started his latest project "Puzzelstukken" (wich 

means Puzzelpieces). The versatility of StriCt's musical knowledge and 

expertise reached new heights with this promising act. He developed a unique 

blend of genre's during the production of there own tracks and there 

DJ-gigs.. His performances can be best described as "A triply wobbly 

adventure for everyone with ears".

Today the focus is primarily on studio work and that is increasingly taking 

shape. It probably not take long before the first Puzzelstukken and/or StriCt 

EP will come out.

Artist: Giacomo Pellegrino [Detroit Side / Greyscale / Ohm Series / Mixcult / spclnch / Ausblick]

We are proud to present another musical frontier. This time we turn our attention to the Italian Dj, producer and head of the Detroit Side Label - Giacomo Pellegrino.   

Giacomo began his musical journey aged 14 when he learned how to DJ. Growing up he listened to a lot of disco and funk and all kinds of 70s and 80s dance music. He often arranged shows and sets for his friends until he was old enough to play at clubs. As his music knowledge and tastes developed he eventually moved into the realms of House and Techno.  

  In much the same way as ourselves, Giacomo has a huge affinity for all things Detroit and in particular , Detroit Techno. Hence the birth of his own label - Detroit Side. A Vinyl only label which he carefully curates and is home to the likes of Delano Smith, Franck Roger, Nick Beringer, S.A.M and of course Giacomo Himself.   

As a producer , Giacomo is someone we’ve been big fans of since we discovered his music, which features regularly in our mixes and radio shows. Through his productions, which are almost solely created using a variety of hardware, he showcases his extensive abilities and talents, often taking inspiration from nature as well has things from his everyday life.

For this Frontier mix, Giacomo has presented a 60 minute journey, which begin with some really deep atmospheric sounds before teasing in some super deep pulsing kicks. As the mix develops he continues to drop in ambient moments, followed by more deep rhythms and sounds.   

We are honoured to be able to host an artist like Giacomo on our platform and we look forward to seeing how his career progresses in the coming years.

Härsvattnet, nestled in the scenic Svartedalen valley in Sweden, is a serene natural gem surrounded by dense forests and rugged landscapes. Known for its tranquil waters and untouched beauty, it has long been a destination for those seeking solitude in nature. 

Härsvattnet became one of several iconic locations in Svartedalen and, more broadly, Sweden for underground forest parties—where electronic music enthusiasts gathered under the stars. While the parties faded with time, their legacy persists in shared stories, contrasting the area’s peaceful present with its vibrant, rebellious past.

Today, Härsvattnet remains a symbol of both natural serenity and a nostalgic chapter in Sweden’s counterculture history. But I’d wager some hidden parties still take place.
