Lusine has been one of my favourite producers for a long time. I'm just going back over some of his first releases on Ghostly International from the early 00's, and it's amazing how ahead of the game he's always been. His combination of delicate productions and beautiful warm analogue melodies, intricacies and amazing shuffling grooves have been a big inspiration for me over the years, with his "A certain distance" album from 2009 being one of my all-time most listened too albums.

So Lusine was one of my ideal remixers for the album, and thanks to Sean at Decibel festival, the hookup was made and he was into the idea. He's turned out a beautiful remix of Woven Ancestry, which if you've seen me play recently, you probably heard in my set. The mix has special balance of being a great piece of music to listen to at home, but then when it's unleashed in a club it's groove takes on a whole new life which I hadn't seen coming until I tried it out - Thanks Jeff!

Phon.o´s new E.P. continues his quest into the deeper zones of club music. Combining influences from UK House, Garage and Berlin Techno he manages to further define his very own sound.

Featuring guest appearances from malaysian duo Bass Sekolah on the hymnic HereNow and additional keyboards from San Franciscan mastermind Joshua Kit Clayton on the more introverted Moonwalk, this record has a strong narrative that manages to work on the dancefloor as well as on the home stereo. Just to remind you: Błażej Malinowski is one of the most recognizable figures of the new wave of Polish techno. With a number of releases for Polish (Minicromusic) as well as foreign (Phorma, Silent Season) labels, he became renowned for his ability to balance the experimental and functional/dancefloor aspects of techno music.
The latter especialy applies to this Deep Impact podcast - from dubby, spacious intro, at a steady and relentless pace it's gaining energy and roughness while keeping it precise and minimalistic.

Welcome to the 109th chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. This weeks set is mixed by Dutch DJ Vinsen from The Hague. He mixed a Deep techno set but this time he dropped the BPM to a slower setting making the music more deeper. 

Bio:

Vinsen comes from the city of The Hague. Traveling a lot for work, he listens to electronic music to make the journeys more than just physical; forgetting time and creating moods.
Through years Vinsen has developed a taste for the detailed, deep, atmospheric electronic music. Not limited to a genre, but by emotions. Every set should be a new journey through an ethereal world of sounds and shapes.
Born from the need to have more music like that for himself and his close friends, he started making his own. 
Having build quite the musical archive over time, only since recently he has begin sharing it with the rest of the world. Motivated by positive reactions to go further and share more :)

Lost in a Sea of Trees tells the tale of a lone traveller who enters a dark, ancient forest. Lured deep into the woods by something not of this world as he enters uncharted grounds. Step by step his journey is getting darker as he encounters strange phenomena and beings among the trees.

08. @tokifuko - Don't Trust The Humans (Apocalipto Version) [Unreleased]

The snowfalls of recent days has melted under the new moon and we are finally ready to turn another page in The Memoir.

This time we're greeted by the blissful beats of @tokifuko who's sounds and work with his outboard gear has been inspiring us lately. His music can be described as "mechanical signals structured into a hypnotic substance".

"I always liked tactile music writing and I've always wanted to control the electric wave by using drum machines locking them into a chain. It was hard for me to get results with the use of virtual instruments which led to the purchase of my first synthesizer. As a result, it has become an experiment in search for new forms and a race for the best sound in order to achieve better results."

Recently this talented producer released a wonderful EP on @silent-season which is well worth checking out.
