Stumbling upon an LTJ Bukem mix cd as a teenager, a love for drum ?n bass manifested itself early in Watcher (Arjan van Vliet). After showing much promise as a humble bedroom dj, he set out to make club and radio appearances all over Holland alongside some of the scene?s biggest names, establishing himself as a sought-after opening dj and earning him a Dutch Drum ?n Bass Award nomination in 2007. 

Today Watcher is a seasoned and well-rounded dj who continues to hone his craft and perfect his signature brand of deep, tight and rolling drum ?n bass sets. 

But he also mixed a dark ambient set with ice cold tracks that brings you in a isolation. This mix is highly recommended for headphones!!

NorthernShore is a project about deep journeys into electronic music. Deeply influenced by the kinds of Echospace, Intrusion, DeepChord & Bvdub these journeys are mainly created for home listening and escaping everyday life. NorthernShore mixes focus on Deep Hypnotic Techno but also on the ambient and experimental part of electronic music and try to create the image that the listener walks alone over an empty long Northern shore while hearing the music...

Welcome to the 72nd chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. This time mixed by Lars leonhard. A mixture full of texture, rhythm, deepness and more. So enjoy this special set!

Bio:

Lars Leonhard was born in 1973 in Hilden (Duesseldorf). In Lars’ early childhood he recognized his passion for music. In the early 90’s he decided to produce his own music. His affinity to electronically music leads him to ambient, dub techno and deep house music.
The electro musician Lars Leonhard from Düsseldorf/Germany focuses on suggestive sounds. 15 years ago, he made his first experiences with industrial and easy listening productions. At that time, he established his sound basis for his in 2002 founded punk rockband „Chaos Digital“. Till their breakup in 2006 , the band created catchy songs like „Keine wie Du“ for the local music scene.
Concurrently to concerts and performances, Lars worked solely on his own tracks followed by TV jingles for brands and a soundtrack for a graffiti documentation by Robert Kaltenhäuser. Four years ago, he went to Japan and worked temporarily for the German Pavilion during the World Fair „Expo 2005“.  For his further career, he uses his own name „Lars Leonhard“ to proceed.
Electro fans of unique ambient, electro, tech and deep house tracks will admire Lars Leonhard.  In 2010, Lars signed a label contract at BineMusic in Essen/Germany which cooperates with artists like Move D, Benjamin Brunn, Scanner and Martin Nonstatic. Since his debut in 2010 with the release of his track “Citylights” on the compilation Various Artists/ BineVolume I, he further released till now two CD albums Alben „1549“ and „Seasons – Les Quatre Saisons“ thus a vinyl 12 EP „ No Comment„.
Furthermore, a “yellow clear” vinyl on the label “DimbiDeep has been released with the title „Lars Leonhard / Shebuzzz / Supererde / Grasses Of The Past”.
Additionally, innumerable tracks on several labels have been released. Major part of those are digital releases are available in major Music stores.
The year 2013 has been a milestone in Lars career. The American space agency NASA spotted Lars on YouTube and engaged him on a long-term basis. Several scientific videos what are observed and recorded by satellites were highlighted in music by Lars Leonhard. Two videos of that amazing cooperation of both parties can be watched on YouTube.

Welcome to the 118th chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. A weekly podcast that brings you the best deep music. This weeks set is compiled and mixed by El Choop! 

Bio:

El Choop, AKA Harvey Jones, found his way to electronic music from the lesser-trodden path of classical and Spanish guitar. Born and raised in a small town in mid-Wales, Jones came face-to-face with the wily, darker reaches of drum & bass at forest parties deep in the hills. Inspired by stories of the 909 and other drum machines, it wasn’t long before Jones became a fully-fledged hardware fanatic.

Before too long, Bristol called, and with it came a softer sound, as Jones discovered and was in turn inspired by producers like Rod Modell and Mauritzio. With the urban landscape as his backdrop and playground, Jones began sculpting his own sound.

Now obsessed with distorted delays and gritty echoes, he spends his time weaving what is most easily described as dub techno, but the reality is there is no proper name for it. There is no proper name because El Choop’s music, much like the man behind it, is part of a new generation of producers on the dusky edges of the scene: breaking boundaries, firing loops, and, as you might expect, making feet tap and heads spin.

El Choop joins the Default Position roster for 2016 with his lush new dub techno EP "A Jaded City" coming very soon.

  Cousin Silas is the stage name of English electronic music artist David Hughes. The name comes from a character in King Crimson's song, "Happy Family".[1] He has released over eighty albums on various netlabels. Between 1990 and 2000 he wrote several short stories, poetry, prose, and articles that were published in small press magazines such as Back Brain Recluse, Nova SF, The Scanner, REM, Nerve Gardens, The Lyre, Auguries and Focus. On 28 January 2004 Cousin Silas made an appearance on BBC Radio 1 played by John Peel.

Biography 
David Hughes, born 7 May 1959, is an English musician and electronic music producer most notable for his ambient and drone music. David was born in Huddersfield, and spent most of that time in the Colne Valley. He attended Crow Lane, Royds Hall School, Colne Valley High School and Kirklees College, formerly known as Huddersfield Technical College. He then apprenticed as an electrical engineer and moved on to become a telecommunications engineer. Before experimenting with soundscapes in 2000, David played guitar in a couple of local bands doing new wave and punk covers. His current style of music is influenced by JG Ballard, Brian Eno, and Forteana.[3] The musician is a self-proclaimed "sound alchemist" and has referred to his music as "audio photographs" or "moodscapes."[4] He is a fan of science fiction novels written between 1950 and 1980 by authors such as Clark Ashton Smith, HP Lovecraft, M.R. James, Brian Aldiss, and Michael Moorcock.

Bio:

Claudio was born in Turin (Italy) at the end of the eighties. As a young man claudio he approaches the music by playing guitar,in adolescence begins to fall in love of the electronic music. Atmospheric sounds , hot pads , deep bass and melodic leads were for him love at first listen! At the age of 15 he buy his first deck and began to collect vinyls, techno, house, progressive and ambient are the preferred styles. Claudio at 17 age begins playing at private parties, in 2008 some of his sets are transmitted on radio exogroove. At 20 age Claudio approaches the world of keyboards and began playing the piano and organ. Specialized as operator electronic, Claudio begins to repair old analog synthesizers, the buying and selling are his hobby. He is currently studying the sound synthesis and modulation to recreate a day a his personal style.

Bio:

 I started Deep Electronics more then 3 years ago with idea to combine photography with electronic music. For a couple of years now I’ve been photographing everything from nature to abstract, people. Especially with the travels I make for work. And I had the idea to combine it with the electronics music I love such as techno, dubtechno, ambient music (especially dark ambient and drone), IDM, deep techno. I wanted the artwork to be as the music.

Berlin based Agonie finds inspiration in his deep connection to nature and the mysteries of consciousness, reflecting those in his diversified DJ sets.
