Urenga is the braichild of hungarian musician Andras Kiss. Urenga focuses more on the nature aspect of the compositions melding enviromental themes and concerns with the musical genres of dub, techno and ambient.

Welcome to the 3rd showcase podcast. This time mixed by Apobothra. A mix full of ambient, deep dub and soundscapes. 

Bio:

Aleksei Klimkin (Apobothra) is a Moscow based electronic music producer who has been inspired by such musicians as The Future Sound of London, Autechre, Biosphere, Brian Eno, Basic Channel / Rhythm & Sound, DeepChord / Echospace, ASC / Mindpsan, bvdub, Fluxion, Quantec, Fingers In The Noise and others. Starting with drum&bass in 2006 his tastes have gradually shifted to deeper electronic music such as dub techno, deep techno and ambient. Many of his tracks have been supported by some big names on the scene. His first release with Apobothra alias was released on Spaceal Orbeats label in the end of 2013 and simultaneously became his first album. It is called ‘In Search for an Explanation’ and the production style there is based on author’s intoxication by science and particularly by astrophysics.
In real life "Apobothra" is an astronomical term whose meaning is quite similar to "Apogee", but while Apogee is the point of greatest distance between the Earth and its orbiting object, Apobothra is the furthermost point on the Black Hole orbit.

Your Summer Sounds 2014 Mixed By Systemfeind Aka Mr. Schlott

Welcome to the 4th Deep Electronics Podcast Showcase. This time a set from Room of Wires. This IDM / Electronic set that they made is a mixture of there own tracks and sounds but also tracks  that give them inspiration to create there music. Enjoy this 4th special set!!

Bio:
It’s not easy to find out about them, they are extremely cautious of their identities not just to the world but also to each other. RoW was formed in late 2013 after a spontaneous email, the only thing that binds them together now, is their love of uneasy music. We know the duo come from the UK, 1-Midlands and 1-South, but that’s as far as the detail goes, they don’t talk about themselves they talk only about their love of electronic music. Influences range from SPK, Test Dept, and Eyeless in Gaza to the more recent Raime, Patten and Ekoplekz.
They’re sound is hard to pin down, there’s hints of Autechre in there, but their songs just build and creep up on you, twisted yet beautiful. Melodic and mantra-like synths are weaved together with twisted beats and almost inaudible field recordings to maintain their uneasy sound. A mix of software, modular hardware, and a massive collection of home brewed samples are their tools.
With track names including Train Jacker, and Asylum Sneaker again, they display this playful but dark side. Their first video – Train Jacker, was recently created by Cesar Naves, and continues the dark, hard to fathom style…
The one thing they do both agree on is that there’s plenty more to come from Room of Wires.

Lilith paid a visit to our studios just to showcase her fine taste in electronic music, built and polished in some famous DJ booths (do Ushuaia, Watergate, Studio 80 or Womb ring a bell to you?) along names like Jeff Mills, Guy Gerber or Kerri Chandler.
And what started like a normal Friday afternoon vinyl jam session turned out into the perfect warmup mix with a deep tech house groove driven by out of this world basslines, basslines that got sweetened with some scarce chords or glitched voices.

Liebe braucht oft weder Worte, noch Erklärungen oder Beweise. Wahre Liebe ist leise, fast lautlos, denn Blicke, Wärme und Gefühle machen keine Geräusche. Liebe ist das, was am Anfang ein lautes, buntes Feuerwerk war, das wir am liebsten der ganzen Welt mittgeteilt hätten. Sie wird zu dem, was nur diese zwei Menschen angeht, was man wie ein Geheimnis im Herzen trägt, weil es viel zu kostbar ist, um es achtlos hinauszuposaunen. 

Wenn es Zeiten gibt, die dich so in die Knie zwingen, dass du denkst, du stehst nicht mehr auf, ist die Liebe das, was dich wieder hochzieht, ein kleines Licht in der Krise, ein Augenblick ohne Spielchen. About himself:

I've released 5 semi full length productions: La Tormenta (2013), Södermanland (2013), Tell me (2013, Economics (2012), Tid och position (2011). I owe my releases to Zeon Light, Go Finger and MiniFM. I make electronic music with a dubby twist, but my main sources of inspiration lie in between noise, shoegaze and electronica.

We call in christmas with some powerful techno. This time with  Kaelan from Italy. 

1. What kind of artists inspire you? 
 I'm pretty inspired by detroit and dub techno artists such as Basic Channel, Deepchord, Substance & Vainqueur, Echoplex, Derrick May, Claude Young and more..

2. What kind of "sound" can we expect from Kaelan?
The sound can be described as functional techno with hints of soul.

3. Whats up over there in Italy? Techno tips? 
I think there are some really interesting upcoming artists, proposing inspiring music... I can think for example at Roberto Bosco, Stenny, Emanuele Pertoldi or my partner in crime Hydergine... they are making outstanding stuff!

4. Whats up with you in the future? Releases, parties, etc
Well, i have some ep that will be out in the next year. There is an upcoming vinyl release on my label Subosc, then, another one on Emmanuel's label "Arts". Next to this there will be a follow up ep on Ranges with my bro Roberto Hydergine, an album with "2030" moniker on Suburban Avenue and a lot of new stuff that must be released.
About parties i'll play with Par Grindvik next 20/12 here in italy.

This week’s raucous mix comes from the bass loving maestro, Low Steppa. Get ready for a pumping mix full of hefty basslines and infectious melodies from the midlands-based producer. We’re sure it’ll fill your day or night with positive energy, which is a surefire reason to download it right away and give yourself a full body workout.

Low Steppa hails from Birmingham and has been involved with electronic since the early 2000s, releasing music under various guises – always with an emphasis on bass, which we love here at Deep House London. He’s traveled the globe with his sound, hitting hotspots like Womb in Tokyo and the huge EDC in Los Angeles.

As well as playing and making top notch bass-heavy house, he also runs his own label Simma Black and its associated parties. Low Steppe has been behind a wealth of production projects over the years with solo work and collaborative projects under aliases such as Twocker, Rudi Stakker, Bass Weazal, Dreadstemz, Punk Rolla and his real name, Will Bailey.

Unsurprisingly his productions have picked up support from some of the industry’s biggest names including Fake Blood, Martin Ikin, Grant Nelson, Shadow Child and Kry Wolf. On top of which, recent radio support has come from the likes of Toddla T, Zane Lowe, Kissy Sellout and the Wideboys.

So it’s a pleasure to have him on board for the Deep House London mix series. We hope you enjoy it as much as us!

So like people who follow me on twitter or facebook know, I had to take offline my WYS/Fabric set for some legal reasons (I won't go into) and so, I decided to replace it with this live set I did for my friends at 31337 Records in Berlin. This is a live set, really mellow and trippy. You'll recognize some tracks from the other set and be able to see that i can play my music differently each time. Enjoy!
