When our conscious and subconscious parts fall out of harmony, and the weight of existence becomes too heavy to bear, we may succumb to an oppressive system's grip and spiral into the abyss of turmoil and overpowering emotions. Then, we yearn for a refuge, a way out to escape the emptiness that engulfs us.
In such desperation, a rhythmic groove may serve as a sanctuary, providing a mental space to immerse ourselves in. This space allows us to plunge into a world of mesmerizing sounds, suffused with an experimental texture that enthrals us and leads us on a wondrous expedition. We drift into a dream world of frequencies, where the atmosphere shapes us into our most authentic selves and evokes raw emotions.
Take a moment to find a serene spot, close your eyes, and let us swim together in the ethereal realm of spirituality. Through this voyage, we may rekindle our connection with the vastness of our minds and rediscover the beauty of our innermost selves.

“What was a crucial sound experience in your life?”
Listening to Animal Collective on acid when I was a teen, haha. But seriously, there were many - from Soviet rock music when I was a small kid to 90’s experimental electronics/IDM stuff, mid-20th century avant-guard music and noise concerts in my teenage years, or playing pieces by Cornelius Cardew and other contemporary composers later. Most recently I found it terrific to listen to sounds of jungle in Indonesia. So many incredible noises there, it’s unbelievable. I’m not really into new age, nature and blah-blah-blah kind of stuff, for me jungle sounds interesting purely from the sound perspective.

Florida-based musician @wavetemples steps up to deliver the 376th edition of the IA MIX Series, interweaving a far-extending mix spanning experimental sounds, piqued for sun-bleached climates, abstract meditation and pensive relaxation.

The mix, dubbed 'Jungle Escape XXX' is a mind-game governed by the track list, featuring Not Not Fun Records cohorts X.Y.R., Voyage Futur and Andra Ljos, as well as unreleased tracks from a brand new label project.

Having recently released 'Panama Shift' LP, plus a new 7-inch on Possible Motive, Wave Temples continues to explore oceanic anthropology, folklore, and the mythos surrounding seafaring cultures and long-lost civilizations. Past entries to their discography are synced to sleep cycles, collections of live sets, and clusters of vignettes laced with field recordings and home synth experiments.

In our wide-ranging interview, we present a glimpse beneath the surface of the project. Wave Temples' sonic aesthetic is woven together with a DIY attitude forged from years in Florida's underground scenes, philosophical influences, and a lifelong fascination with music and art that ranges from Delta Blues to punk, noise, and Marcel Duchamp. They also touch on how each release resonates from specific periods in their life, the collaborative nature of 'Panama Shift', and preparations for an upcoming Florida tour.

Welcome to Episode 234 on Poisonoise Music with this set seeing the return of Bulgarian based artist Ivelin Iliev aka Protuberance.
Ivelin Iliev from Bulgaria is the face behind the Protuberance project, who for over 20 years has been listening and selecting electronic music. In 2010 he buys the appropriate equipment and opens his own studio. He starts producing and publishing his music in different netlabels both in Bulgaria and abroad. He works with the oldest netlabel in Bulgaria – MAHORKA – and produces 4 independent albums, one of which has been released on disc. He is one of the founders of compilation series called Eastern Depths. In its four editions the compilation explores the experimental underground scene in Bulgaria, and compiles the music of many different independent producers in the country. As a producer he likes to experiment, and sets no limits to his music. In it you can find Deep techno, Dub techno, Drum and basis, IDM, and deep Dub Ambient. In 2019 he releases his own internet podcast series called Cryptic Vibes. He uses it to express his DJ side, and mixes his own music selections. The music itself in Cryptic Vibes is very diverse and follows the intertwining of the dub sound within the different dance genres like techno, tech house, and minimal. His sets have been part of rubrics like Deep electronic podcast, Melotonin podcast, Poisonoise music, Overdose dUbcast.

Deep Electronics Podcast # 229 - Phøbiq

Paris-based DJ crew and party provider HORS-SOL launched Outrebleu early 2020: a side project aimed at pushing ambient, IDM, experimental and deep techno music to the forefront of the Parisian scene, with multidisciplinary events and experiences. Through this approach, the collective wishes to offer something different, with an emotional, sensitive and introspective approach. Through this mix, the artists behind HORS-SOL seek to translate the emotions of a post-festive Sunday: those of a foggy morning awakening, where the fuzzy memories of a night of excess, joy and dance intertwine. Those of a day of wandering, where the tired body and mind are the open doors to changing moods, introspection and contemplation.
