Jake Tomas First hit the scene with a track entitled ‘Lucky Lucky’ which was written and produced in Ibiza and it become a FREE DOWNLOAD via Data Transmission with Paul HG  his music duo partner! 
 
Over the recent years, Jake has sculpted his sound across a wide variety of house genres but settled in nicely with his take on Deep/Minimal House and has been receiving positive support and amazing feedback from the likes of; Darius Syrossian, Jamie Jones, Danny Howard, Steve Lawler for his tracks in Deep/Minimal, incorporating catchy vocals and groovy melody’s layered over tight snappy drums.

Jake Tomas  has gone from strength to strength securing releases on Kittball Records, Grifintown Records, Blackboard and 1980 Recordings and has also secured DJ Gigs in the UK at Mint Warehouse & DEJA VU in Hull along with Ibiza.

Jake has performed guest mixes for Whistle Louder, In the Know Records and have also featured on Spotlight mixes for Data Transmission, Electronic groove and Club Tropico.

Jake has also appeared on the popular Irish Dance radio station RTE Pulse along with Dash Radio presented by Gary Jamze as well as BBC Radio 1 & BBC Introducing too!

Jake is now ready to hit the Dance floors with pure vibes, passion, and energy.

Certified Jackin was formed in 2011 with the intention of taking the big-bass “jackin house” sound that was taking over the North of England and the Midlands and deliver to a wider audience. This was achieved via a simple YouTube channel which quickly, and slightly unexpectedly, became a massive success, harnessing close to 100,000 subscribers and over 25 million views. The sound we delivered was greatly received throughout the United Kingdom and across the globe.
 
Over the following years, we helped promote and intensify the early careers of well-respected artists who featured heavily under the CJ name. Artists such as Hannah Wants, Chris Lorenzo and of course, our head honcho: ILL PHIL, amongst many others. Their meteoric rise through the music scene has, along with other artists and DJs brought underground House music to the forefront of the dance music world, specifically the ‘Jackin’, ‘Bass’ and ‘Tech House’ genres.
 
We host events across the United Kingdom, mainly at the prestigious Lightbox in London where we have hosted some of the best in the business: Endor, The Wideboys, Tom Bull, Rich Pinder, Skapes, Martin Ikin and others. We have taken Certified to Dublin with Tom Zanetti, Tom Garnett and Nick Hannam. We’ve also graced Tank in Sheffield, Insomnifest in Leeds, Manchester, Rotherham, Maidstone and Dover.
 
ILL PHIL’s world-famous Mixtapes have amassed millions of plays on SoundCloud and our debut album ‘Certified Jackin: Underground House Music’ cracked the Top 10 of the iTunes dance chart in mid-2014.
 
Our sound has naturally changed over time, but our values remain the same. We aim to deliver high energy, feel good, bass-laden house music with a twist. Full frontal, underground beats.
