This very prolific producer built his name releasing few albums on famous Mistique label and making interesting bootleg remixes of some big tunes. One of the latest - made on track by Trifonic, was supported by Guy J himself and that's for sure the best recommendation regarding production skills and incredible talent of Piotr ! After lots of experimental output during last years Piotr is now willing to concentrate on more clubby, techno oriented side under his new alias. Opening track La Aperture floats on a fabulous jittery percussive groove and hip-wrenching sub-bass, laced with melodic swells and wave after wave of lush motifs, in what is an excellent collaborative meeting of minds between Straub and Fe Vargas. For Jericho Straub goes solo, creating an excellent low-slung, clanky metallic groove, spotted with solo synth lines and evocative vocal snippets. He follows this with Reinforcement, which is built on an energetic, exceptionally tight and focused percussive groove experiment, unrelenting in its linear attitude throughout. The perfect finale comes in the form of Collecting The Stars, where, bedded on a stripped-back kick and snappy percussion groove, Straub and Nilseus build a beautiful melody-rich cinematic landscape, riding on a carpet of deep, driving bass and detailed rhythmic mastery.

With recent releases on Josh Winks Ovum imprint and Hot Since 82s Knee Deep In Sound, Philipp Straub is an ever-present creative force. Hi 26-year career as a DJ and Producer has helped inform his 3D understanding of what it takes to make dance-floors around the globe work to perfection. Thales Boutroumlis represents the fresh new guard of tech house. The teenager from Cologne follows up his debut of last year on EIN2 with a two tracker for the venerable Poker Flat Recordings. For one so young, Boutroumlis shows a great deal of maturity in his productions. 

Title track 'Perpetual' is an elegant and slinky tech house burner - a shuffling groove is matched with sly and crafty synth work, while the arrangement shows a strong sense of dance floor dynamics. 

'Aether', produced alongside Tantum, heads in a deeper and darker direction - bringing out an edge and attitude that will go over big with the dancers. A bubbling acid bassline drives the drama, while pads give the track a sense of space, before dropping once more into the killer groove.
