This song was written by Tez (Llanpsych)some years ago, I believe. he wrote it about a Loki-like trickster character. Little did he realize at the time that it applies perfectly to AI, too. So, with that in mind, we added the high harmonies to my vocals to give them a robotic quality. 
  Tez is also playing that ripping guitar you hear throughout. Ken (K2 and the Three, K2 and the Four) came up with perfect rocking drums for it, too, as always. He also arranged and helped me sing the oohs and aahs throughout, too. You'll hear me on the bass, organ, and vocals on this one. This is really Tez's song, though. We hope you like it.

This Grateful Dead song has been a favorite of Josh's for most of his life. So, when he and Ross were tossing around ideas for a Dead song to cover, they landed on this one. Ross, being the superb musician that he is, laid down a skeleton for the whole song on his piano, and added his vocals, as well as some synth that you hear at the very beginning. 
  Once we had a solid foundation to work from, Ken added his raucous main drums. Then, to get the effect of two drummers, like the Dead, JJ added some simpler, back-up drums, too. Once the drums were there, Josh added his four string fretless bass to the stew. Now that the rhythm section was done, JJ added his Brent-like electric piano, sprinkling magic throughout. Then it was time for Josh to go to work with the 6-strings. First, he added a rhythm guitar, trying to do justice to Bob Weir. Once that was completed, Josh also got to lay down Jerry's lead part, which he enjoyed immensely.
  After the music was complete, JJ added his high harmony throughout the song. Josh also added the lowest harmony in the a cappella vocal break. Since all the pieces were now in place, it was time for a mix. Ross generously did a preliminary mix, including some automation. However, the main mix was done by Josh on this one, in a rare show of his mixing vision. However, we did ask Stephen to master the whole thing for us, too, which he did expertly. 
  Our real goal with this one was to have a song we could show our deadhead friends with pride. We hope we did the Dead, their fans, and their music a service by keeping their amazing music alive. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.
