About “Flickerstorm (Album Version)”
This track was inspired by the sounds of New Order and Echo & the Bunnymen that kept playing in my head under the moonlight.
I blended those influences with the dub and electronic elements I deeply admire, and it became the very first track I completed as Olttaoff.

Under my previous artist name, my works leaned more toward electronic downtempo. Over time, however, I realized that post-rock is an essential part of my identity, which led me to create this piece. In many ways, it feels like a return to my roots while moving forward.

It also marks a turning point in my process — shifting from hardware-based production to working fully in DAWs. The TR-909 featured on the artwork represents that transition, as well as a tribute to Roland, the iconic maker from my hometown in Japan.

Winter Is Coming

I've been playing around with more exotic scales and instruments. This is the result. There's something wildly romantic about the Tuaregs and I polished the track with inspiration from photographs I found on Pinterest.
