Deeeeeeep🔥 what’s this edit man; this released?

This is my special mix for Hot Situation's "The Bright Side". I started by diving deep in my library and finding cuts from before 2010, and then added a bunch of unreleased music from myself, Unders & Noraj Cue, and the Around Midnight label. It is a tapestry of my full sound and of tracks I've been loving at the moment. A journey through a melodic landscape framed by a special ambient cut I heard at NYC's beloved "Planetarium" music listening Brooklyn loft events. I hope you enjoy it!

After orchestrating a 3-way-linkup at our own stage Ubuhlanti with 2 shiny mutant vehicles, and booking one of my favourites CIOZ to play at 11pm, I was very pleased with own curation... until I remembered that I had pledged to go and play for my favourite flaming chrome crew at the Dung Beetle. Looking back on 3 years of priceless memories and boogies at the Dung Beetle, riding out into the Playa to find the flaming silver beetle this time was a no-brainer. Enjoy this deep psychedelic set with indie dance and tribal flavourings for Midweek Madness at AfrikaBurn 2024. Thanks again to David at the Dung Beetle for once again having me!

The fledging Gun Raven label continues to establish its own unique sound with a new single from Normen Hood. The label has picked up plenty of high-profile press and has worked with artists like Marshall White, Swim the Shine and Juli Lee while a remix by Timo Maas also proved a big hit. Next, it is Normen Hood, a real hero in his local underground scene in Switzerland, who impresses once more. His emotionally charged sounds have taken him to legendary clubs and festivals such as Hive, Bagatelle and Chat:eau and renowned labels such as Endangered, Hive Audio and Casomat.

The brilliant 'Kaleido' is an airy and uplifting melodic track with deft drums and percussion forming the hypnotic undercarriage for what is a cosmic exploration. From broad synth sweeps to pixelated pads and loopy melodic refrains, this is a bright and widescreen sound packed with great craft and emotion.

Tiglon is only one of the many monikers of the Stockholm-based remixer whose journey began in the early 2000s. From d&b to acid techno, and all things in between, he produces a wide range of sounds, but Tiglon is for anything that has a four-four beat. He flips 'Kaleido' into a darker, more driving and hard-edged percussive cut for late-night sessions where dramatic synths and turbulent bass all power on.
