subspiele: what are you doing exactly at this moment ?
neonlogic: Hello. Currently, I’m living in Porto, Portugal, which is my hometown. I’m focusing exclusively on music for the moment… In fact, exactly at this moment, I’m checking out new music.

subspiele: where did you record the mix ?
neonlogic: I recorded it in my little home studio.

subspiele: which is the song that you recently liked the most ?
neonlogic: Well, this is a tricky one… I was really impressed with the first Fussganger EP but overall, 2013 was a fantastic year for deep and dub techno and hard to pick favorites.

subspiele: how do you feel now ?
neonlogic: I’m feeling renewed in the beautiful Porto Winter, after living last the season in Ibiza and I am currently doing a lot of planning for the future.

subspiele: how should it go on ?
neonlogic: A good producer friend of mine, Dave Wesley, is moving to Porto soon. He will be setting up his studio here and we’re starting our own label. We are also starting some nights dedicated to dub and deep techno, here in Porto.

Press release:
The fifth release on Concealed Sounds is delivered by a very talented artist known as, Lowris. He is a resident DJ at the leading and much respected French underground party called Concrete in Paris as well as releasing critically acclaimed released on his Aeternum label. For Concealed he offers two original tracks, starting off with “AAA” which is a long stripped down hyptonic journey thru sound and rhythm. The second track being, “Btass”, which is a more minimalistic house groover. As a treate we invited no other then our favorite Danish producer S.A.M to rework the title track. S.A.M goes very deep on this one and transforms “AAA” into a moody house affair that will suit the after hour very well.

Rob Cesar // Smile This Mixtape #49

After yet another intentional pause in our output, where we have left the 50th episode simmering at the surface of a rich stock of mixes for 5 whole weeks, Avenue Red are back to deliver more underground audio cargo to your iPods, hi-fi's, memories and minds! For the 51st installment we present a delightfully groovy, shiny, melodic deep House selection from Rob Cesar, a music collector, DJ, physicist and high school teacher from Luxembourg.

We had heard some of Rob's mixes before he sent this one over, with him having recently delivered the goods for our podcasting contemporaries at Hello Strange (https://soundcloud.com/hello_strange/rob-cesar-hello-strange-podcast-134), Smile This Sound (https://soundcloud.com/smile-this-sound/rob-cesar-smile-this-mixtape-49) and a stunning edition for Deep Afterhour (https://soundcloud.com/deepafterhour/rob-cesar-deep-afterhour-proposal) around a year ago. He didn't need to work too hard introducing himself to us.

Rob is an 80's kid and has been into music and specifically dance music ever since he can remember. Creating VHS-mixtapes from MTV's "Party Zone" was his favourite pastime before he fell under the spell of the Technics MKII's in the late 90's. Noted for the accuracy of his mixing style, he earned himself regular appearances in Luxembourg-based clubs and festivals in the early 2000's. Rob tells us he is less active in his night-life shenanigans today, what with the responsibilities of adult life... but he hasn't lost an inch of his interest in music, as his output on Soundcloud readily testifies.

"The story about this mix is quite simple: about two weeks ago, I was spinning some house tunes at home and, when I listened to the recording, I was like 'DAMN!! We got something going here!'. But as it was all spontaneous and stuff, there were parts in the set where mixing wasn't all good and one or two tracks didn't totally feel right, so I started a new recording, this time with a clear line in mind and then there it was, a collection of pure timeless house music, nothing more, nothing less...

Hey, you know, I come from a generation where we used tapes, in order to get our music together, you know, just, doing your own mix-tapes and stuff, and I was sitting at home, listening to the radio, and, waiting for my favourite song to come up, and, when it did, they always, the radio stations always had to fade in and fade out early so you weren't able to get the whole piece together, so what I did was trying to get, find all the missing pieces in the radio, and I spent like, hours, just to get it all together you know, and I never did, actually, because, the radio stations weren't allowed to use the beginnings, the very beginnings and the very ends, but I didn't know that as a kid so I was like naive and I was waiting and waiting for hours to fulfil my, my mix-tape, my collection of songs, you know, hum, and that was home taping for me, you know..." Heute vor einem Jahr wählte ich Musik für meinen Mix "Lebenslänglich" aus und einen Tag später ging er online. Die Auswahl folgte keiner bestimmten Logik – nur gefallen musste sie mir. Was danach geschah ist für mich heute noch unglaublich! Auch wenn Zahlen nur Schall und Rauch sind, schrieb ich wenige Wochen später ein paar davon zusammen mit wünschenswerten aber für mich völlig utopischen Zielen auf einen Zettel und legte diesen in meine Schublade.

Die Ziele wollte ich am letzten Tag des Jahres überprüfen. Ich habe nicht daran geglaubt, sie zu erreichen – geschweige denn zu übertreffen. Eingetreten ist jedoch beides. Ich blicke stolz auf das wohl ereignisreichste Jahr meines Lebens zurück und bedanke mich von ganzem Herzen!

Ich danke euch, meinen treuen Fans und Unterstützern, ich danke allen Künstlern, die mich mit ihrer Musik versorgen und mich inspirieren, ich danke allen Clubs & Veranstaltern, die es mir dieses Jahr ermöglicht haben, andere Menschen glücklich zu machen, ich danke allen neuen und alten Freunden sowie meiner Familie dafür, dass ich bin wie ich bin.

Aber besonders danke ich meiner Freundin, die mir jeden Tag zeigt, dass man alles schaffen kann, wenn man hart genug dafür arbeitet und an sich glaubt. Oft erscheinen uns Ziele zu groß und wir uns zu klein, aber in jedem von uns steckt mehr als wir denken!

After listening to Hip hop Music a long time, the twenty- seven year old Sascha Oswald came to electronic music,nearly one year ago. Since four month now he makes his own Mixes. Why he´s making music? Music helps him in every situation of life: No matter where an when. When he´s putting on his headphones he forgets about, what is around him. There can be a storm, but once he could hear the music, it puts a smile on his face. For this reason exactly hes making music, to share the passion with his fellow men.&#13;
