About the artist
Crowd Controlol (pronounced Crowd Control) is the main recording and performance identity for Anthony Salce, a South Florida-based electronic music producer with a mission to bring something undeniably fresh to dance music. Merging two decades of classical training on the violin with the tools of modern technology, his take on music stems deeply from its effects on the human mind and body. This interpretation ranges from warm connotations of dancefloor driven house music, to sonic experiments in deeper, melodic and minimal grooves.

Crowd Controlol’s first ever vinyl release “Science Ficiton” on Still Play Records reached #1 worldwide on Deejay.de in Decemeber 2018, the most popular online vinyl store for underground music. The multi-genre EP featured Minimal, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno sounds. Simultaneously, his digital productions and remixes have been coninuously well received, with regular releases on global record labels like Innocent Music, Baile Musik, Draft, Patent Skillz, SK Supreme Records, Ritmik Records, Beatdown Music, and Low Groove Records.

Crowd Controlol left his first mark on the city of Miami during his debut residency in 2012 at a bimonthly party known as “One Night in Miami” with afterhours sunrise sets held early Saturday mornings on The Terrace at Club Space. Known for bouncy, yet dark and provocative DJ sets, he inspired a new generation of underground music advocates to appreciate the more intricate and sophisticated elements of electronic music. His sets created a different appreciation for four-on-the-floor rhythm amongst his friends, naturally encouraging his peers to steer away from what they hear on the radio, and appreciate the innovative qualities of house and techno music.

Beginning his travels to Ibiza, Spain in the summer of 2013 and joining forces with Richie Hawtin and the ENTER. team in Public Relations, Anthony continued to develop his sound as Crowd Controlol while maintaining a forward thinking approach to artistry. Working a total of 3 seasons with ENTER on the island, his working relationship with Hawtin evolved beyond Ibiza and resulted in an invitation to be part of the CNTRL 2.0 tour in 2015, an educational initiative which sprung throughout college campuses in North America with artists like Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Matador, Victor Calderone, and more. Upon forging valuable relationships and discovering a world of new music, this experience has become an integral part of his development as an artist.

More recently, Crowd Controlol has showcased his sound in Ljubljana, London, Ibiza, Playa del Carmen, Madrid, Ibiza, and New York City with regular appearances in Miami and around Florida. He’s shared some of the largest stages in dance music over his 10 year career with many of the most important artists in electronic music like Nicole Moudaber, Umek, Matthias Tanzmann, Chus & Ceballos, Riva Starr, Nathan Barato, and Carl Cox, performing at the world renowned Space Ibiza in its final season. More committed than ever to a focused development of his sound with ambitious production sessions and intriguing live performances, he’s truly dedicated to an upbeat and hypnotizing dancefloor experience, as his music emerges on imprints around the world.

German pair Monkey Safari have become Get Physical mainstays over the years. In 2022, they have released a wealth of teaser tracks from this mix with each one showcasing a different side to their sound. After more than a decade of EPs and LPs on their own Hommage label they are still mining new musical ground and their 2021 album ‘Love Will Set U Free’ was the latest testament to that. This new mix is a further superb showcase of their signature DJ style and seductive musical output. The mix is a broody one that takes you into a mesmeric world of classy, musical house. It is packed with originals and remixes from Monkey Safari starting with the alluring bell sounds and vocal cries of 'Ceremony' before moving on through the likes of their spine-tingling afro house remix of Fluida and then a lithe and airy remix of BLOND:ISH. After classy Monkey Safari material like 'Universal Love' and 'W' is a remix of George Morel's classic 'Let's Groove' that updates the tune with a fresh modern edge. The disco depths of DJ Pierre feat. Chic Loren's reworked classic 'I Feel Love' is followed by standout exclusive remix 'Hausch' which lifts the spirits on a wave of positive synth work, upbeat drums and summery vibes that are sure to get plenty of plays this summer and beyond. A faultless run of recently released singles including 'Kami', 'Light Of Day' and 'Hi & Low' then round out this most exquisite and sensitive selection. Body Language Vol. 24. is another landmark entry into this long-running and influential DJ mix series.

Kicking off with the skippy, floating title track 'Echoes', Ray starts as he means to go on.Beautiful bells chime and echo over dreamy pads, giving the song an emotional depth that is anchored by bassy breakbeats and driving hi-hats.

Different Ray immediately follows up his opener with more heat, this time in the form of 'Odyssey', a seven-minute weapon that punches with rubbery, rolling basslines, and synth stabs. The track constantly builds tension before releasing, taking plenty of twists and turns as it grows in intensity. The irresistible bassline remains a constant, however, pushing the song forward and quickly becoming an absolute earworm that you’ll keep coming back to. '
