The 40th release on microCastle welcomes Jamie Stevens back to the label for a new EP. The Australian producer is making his fifth appearance on the Canadian imprint which follows his critically acclaimed 'The Wonder of You' EP from 2013. Jamie has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of his country’s most talented and sought after music producers he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary electronic music. As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian live act, he’s left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha – Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion has received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work. More recently Jamie’s solo discography has been highlighted with a contribution to John Digweed and Nick Muir’s ‘Versus’ album (released courtesy of Bedrock) along with the aforementioned ‘The Wonder of You’, reaching #1 positions on Beatport in Tech House and Electronica and now regarded as Jamie's career best piece of music. Standout remixes for King Unique and Robert Babicz were showcased in the the first half of 2015 and now microCastle is pleased to present Jamie's long awaited EP entitled 'The Healing' alongside a remix from label artist Guy J.

The release begins with 'My Tears Don't Help Me' which finds Jamie crafting a deep and emotive number in his own inimitable style. Anchored by subterranean beats and a low slung groove it's an immediately compelling piece of music, compounded by vocal motifs and orchestral designs. It's a deeply moving vibe and one which comes from a real life place. In Jamie's own words "After a succession of very trying months this past year, the vocal sample I came across when making this track spoke to me sincerely. It was the perfect fit for the music I had created from the same headspace."

The lone interpretation of 'My Tears Don't Help Me' is provided by Guy J who is making his fourth appearance on microCastle. The Israeli born Malta based producer is fresh off several triumphs in 2014. Guy's 'Once In A Blue Moon' EP, released courtesy of Bedrock Records was one of the year's most critically acclaimed releases. Reaching #1 in the Beatport Top 100, its sophisticated melodies touched the hearts and minds of music lovers around the globe; it proved once again that there is simply no one better at crafting soulful sounds. Guy also readily accepted the challenge of updating one of electronic music's seminal ambient compositions, Barry Jamieson's 'Stars', released courtesy of microCastle. A daunting task and one which he pulled off with resounding success. As the collective electronic music underground anxiously awaits Guy's newest studio creation microCastle is pleased to present just his second production of 2015. For his 'My Tears Don't Help Me' interpretation Guy has put his own magical touch on the production and reinvented it for a peak time dance floor. It's tough, driving beats and big, commanding drums bring an energetic presence while a storyboard of indistinct motifs tastefully lift the emotion higher. Charming use of the vocal elements combined with a poignant breakdown of keys leads the piece to an elating finale; one which is sure to unite your dance floor for a special 3AM moment.

The new record, consisting of three delightfully diversified compiled CDs, appears as multifaceted as the past years have been: Déepalma’s 5-year back catalogue by this time holds close to 80 singles/eps, several samplers and mix-albums receiving unrelenting accolades. These include several no.1 top spots in iTunes electronic charts across Europe, one position in Germany’s official sales charts with the previous compilation ‘Ibiza Winter Moods’, plus millions of Spotify, YouTube and Soundcloud hits universally. Therein, the 5th Anniversary edition of the imprint’s Ibiza-series constitutes a new milestone. Yves Murasca and his DJ colleagues Rosario Galati and Keyano thereon interweave 42 hand-picked titles into a filigree sound carpet. No matter if musical sunbather or electro-lover – in the three diversified dj mixes everyone is finding its blissful soundscape. The list of artists included on the album virtually reads like the Who-is-who of the current electronic music scene. 

Split into three slices, the first part sees a selection of deep cuts geared for the sunset featuring a brandnew Dayne S ‚Finally’ remix of Sweed feat. Jalana and original outings from Tube & Berger, Jan Blomqvist, Lexer and Kölsch to name a few. But also the three compiling Déepalma DJs represent at their best for Summer 2018: Yves Murasca and Rosario Galati contribute – once with Chasing Kurt and remixed by Berlin’s Superlover, once alone, two uplifting groove-fuelled songs. And as also Keyano is coming up with two fresh sun-soaked projects from his studio - his solo single ‘You’ and the brand spanking new jam ‘Summer Vibes’ of his Holter & Mogyoro project together with David Mogyoro, one thing is for sure: Ibiza Summer 2018 ‘s got the Groove!

Following the announcement of his first Ibiza residency, Claptone’s fifth and final remix package of ‘Fantast’ arrives featuring Swiss producer Dario D’Attis, Truesoul regular Sidney Charles and Material label head Mihalis Safras.

2019 has seen the force behind ‘The Masquerade’ events continue his project worldwide, bringing the event series to Pacha Ibiza whilst inviting the likes of Tensnake, Dennis Ferrer and Shiba San. Not only that, Claptone released a massive remix of Florence and the Machine’s ‘Hunger’ and has been involved with The Fred Hollows Foundation in aid of Cataracts Disease.

After much esteem, ‘Fantast Remixes Pt.5’ sees three more artists interpreting the album. Opening the EP, long-time producer Dario D’Attis gives his take on Claptone’s ‘Abyss of Love’. A slow burning track, D’Attis delicately balances emotive chords with passionate vocals to create an ethereal journey.

Next up, Sidney Charles ‘Hurricane Vielijans’ remixes Wildside. Incorporating as much vigour as his name suggests, he layers jacking beats with an atmospheric backdrop all guided by a compelling bassline until Mihalis Safras’ powerful kicks, high hats and sirens combine in his remix of ‘Wildside’, closing the EP in a burst of energy.
