A stone thrown, just to watch it fly. A projectile launched for the sole purpose of drawing a ballistic trajectory in the sky.
The Solens arc is what remains after the subtraction of the goal; a simple parabolic curve defined by gravity, impulse and starting angle. No target to hit, no catharsis to wait for, just the beauty of the flight.

The Arc as the purpose, in the form of four variations, constructed from disintegrated melodic textures and dismantled beats. Each sequences are assembled seamlessly into dense, evolving compositions, while keeping their autonomy, and their role in the global dramaturgy.

Pointillist serial loops morph into abrasive rave anthems, broken club rhythms are refitted into uneven patterns, like deconstructivist sound architectures. Industrial techno stompers dissolve into granular sound waves and filtered space pads, before being overtaken by cinematic drums and rising arpeggios.

Solens Arc is Kangding Ray’s fourth Album for raster-noton.

After his joining with Ostgut Booking in 2015, his contribution to the Ostgut Ton | Zehn compilation and two 12“es on Ben Klock’s Klockworks label, Ukraine-born, now Berlin-based producer and DJ Etapp Kyle debuts on Unterton.

As with his previous releases Etapp Kyle captures his playful, multi-layered Techno endeavours with single-word track titles: Continuum EP starts off with “Opto”, an atmospheric track with fazing bleeps, ensouled synths and subdued claps – a prime example of his great feel for musical detail. “Ahora” builds upon this vibe with more asynchronous drum patterns, well placed drips of melody, distant pulses, mesmerizing pads and hints of rattles amongst other percussion.

The EPs title track “Continuum” is distinctive through its use of industrial hammer jabs and reduced, puzzling synth pads that are counteracted by a more dominant, steady and stubborn kick drum. “Limb” contrasts unconventional pulsating, hypnotic synth tones with sharp claps and snare sounds, and rounds off this 12“ of all new, puristic and futurist Techno, catering as much to the darker corners as to the brightest spots of the dance floor.

In time for the 20th anniversary of his label Hospital Productions, Dominick Fernow offers the first release of his Techno-focused moniker Vatican Shadow on Ostgut Ton, following up on his Berghain residency and joining Ostgut Booking in 2016 with his Vatican and Prurient projects.

The Cocteau Twins/This Mortal Coil-channelling, beatless widescreen opener “They Deserve Death” and the two collateral club/dancefloor tracks “Rubbish Of The Floodwaters” and “Weapons Inspection” offset each other by reincarnating the tape manipulation that laid the foundation of Vatican’s first performances with analog hardware and minimalist midi-dissection. Produced in Los Angeles with Josh Eustis, Vatican Shadow’s Rubbish Of The Floodwaters EP casts a full spectrum picture of where the project was born and where it headed.

DEMENT3D Records presents: Ligovskoï - Mana EP and Remixes - DM3D016

Mana is the second EP by Ligovskoï, the most poetic and abstract band here at DEMENT3D.

The duo, between Bruxelles and Paris, has come up with five new pieces, bringing their craft to a whole new level. Their condensed and moving soundscapes are now heightened by narrative compositions and constructions. Their music is still mysterious and unsettling by essence ; and there is now something of a paradox between a kind of wary decency that definenes their attitude - where melodies and rhythm patterns are concealed in a vast arrangement of deep frequencies - and on the other hand, how they have now managed to now perform as musicians and express some impredictable energy and interpretation in their works. A very elegant way of installing an incarnated and personal dimension in their music, that complements the classic intimacy and deepness of their ambient / drone etiquette.

The record here, much like Ligovskoï’s previous project “Dilip” is associated with remixes - which makes it a double EP. The originals by the duo are found on sides A and B of a white, opaque vinyl, and the remixes on sides C and D of a classic black 12”. 
Abdulla Rashim honours us with a third remix for the label and  we are also proud to welcome Peder Mannerfelt in our remixers roster

Florian Meindl's third artist album "Time Illusion" marked another big milestone in
his career. These last 12 months have seen him tour his live show, where he has
showcased his flair for live performance with some heavy equipment including his
Eurorack Modular System.
To remix Time Illusion Florian has chosen three artists that he admires for their
unique take on techno music. Lucy, responsible for the curation of the highly
respected Stroboscopic Artefacts imprint, Sigha renowned for his modular system
performances and productions on Token and Blueprint and up and coming
Netherlands duo TWR72 who have been continuing to put out fresh and gamechanging
releases on their label Float Records.
The Lucy remix spans on a whole A side with 45 rotations per minute and opens a
window in a yet unknown dimension of expanding effect drones which takes the
listener on an extraordinary trip of its own. He took the opportunity to weave the
breakbeat from the original composition into a straight-clocked rhythm while
giving the harmonic content a new unheard surreal depth. This track has got the
potential to suck the dancers minds into a strange journey and yet keep them on the
steady rhythm.
Sigha's interpretation of "Frame Of Mind" manages to be heavy and soft at the
same time with industrial noise movements and mystic synth sequences emerging
and disappearing. The beauty in this masterpiece lies in the balance between the
sweet harmonic content and the pounding beat construction, which keeps moving
and modulating until the very end.
TWR72 deliver a perfectly working and grooving DJ weapon, which is highly
playable in all sorts of situations. They perfectly manage to incorporate the key
elements from the original into their very own signature sound. The eclectic
alternation between a suspense-packed part and a pure forward going beat
section makes this tune outstanding and joyful to put on the turntable again and
again.
