Here ASIP presents a stunning mix featuring ambient, electronica, IDM, dub techno and more, where almost every track has been turned into a loop to bring to life the idea of "waves" as loops - continuous unfolding of repetitive patterns.

“Taking inspiration from the podcast series’ title, I aimed to create a mix that focused on
repetition and layers, as if staring out to sea watching blankets of waves roll in from

Her artistry combines diverse textures and experimental layers into a unique sonic tapestry, using synthesizers, modular setups, and microphones to capture the world's frequencies. Through DJ performances, Jin crafts ethereal, meditative soundscapes that transport audiences, viewing CDJs & turntables as instruments for improvisational exploration. Her academic background drives her to delve into sonic art, crafting instruments and DIY microphones to push the boundaries of sound and deliver innovative, immersive musical experiences. Witnessing her mesmerising performance at Mostra Festival in 2023, it was a matter of time to feature her on Unrush, where we proudly showcase her podcast today...

Aspetuck is an American producer & DJ fascinated by groove & rhythm as well as the hypnotic nature of the deeper sides of electronic music. Growing up in sleepy Vermont, without easy access to any inkling of a nightlife scene, the internet was Aspetuck's only form of musical discovery for those formative days. Years later, after living in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Aspetuck was very quickly drawn into the robust nightlife cultures of both cities that was so absent in the rural hills of the northeast. 

He is not only inspired by the current scene but also heavily inspired by genres outside of the contemporary electronic world including but not limited to krautrock, dub, new wave / post-punk, shoegaze, jazz, soul & funk.  Immersing himself in both music production and photography, two creative outlets that seemingly complement & balance each other, he is quietly finding his voice with the help of a broad range of influences to draw from.
