It's a pleasure to welcome a close friend for this quarter century edition of our series, the Manchester based @apriluk. 

He's the man behind @chorusuk1 amongst a number of other projects.. graphic designer by day and all vinyl extraordinaire by night. 

This mix is a departure from his usual club-ready sounds of techno, jungle, hardcore and anything-in-between that he's discovered whilst trawling the depths of bargain crates and Discogs.

A chillout journey through ambient, drone and shoegaze inspired by his morning listening habits, which is a side of his collection never before shared for public consumption.

We are so happy to kick our Podcast Series back into gear with a long anticipated recording from the UK-based duo Plantera called 'Cosmozoa' ~ based on theories of intergalactic spores transferring life to other planets 🌱

I met Lewis and Mason last year at the intimate Sonic Rites gathering, nestled in the wilds of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Smitten by their soothing afternoon set, I knew I needed to approach them and ask if they’d be keen to record a mix for the series ~ and they said yes 💍

So here it is, a magical musical offering born out of synergy between two close friends sharing deep understanding of and passion for music that touches the soul and soothes the mind. And what better time to dial
in this hour and a half journey than after the long weekend of Bank holiday frolics. Sit back, close your eyes and let it take you on a comic ride through soft edged ambient and downtempo psychedelia 💫

The guys also shared a little message for us too to accompany the mix: “Join us on this journey of cosmozoa; ejected into the ether from unknown coordinates, floating aimlessly through primordial dust until being grasped into the orbit of Plantera - gliding through the atmospheric haze before breaking out into blissful serenity, absorbing the sights and sounds of this unfamiliar world while sailing on it's winds"

Deep Breakfast 321 ~ Inhmost

As summer's warmth dissolves into the autumn breeze and the silence of shorter days descends, we're honored to welcome BLNDR to the series, sharing a mix that's a sonic companion for the season's transition.

BLNDR is a French electronic music producer based in Paris.
Deep beats, percussions, and atmospheric elements have always been central to his sound. He took his first steps into electronic music with the release of his debut EP on Hypnus Records in 2014.

Deep Breakfast 327 ~ BLNDR

Perpendicular Festival unravels as one continuous thread, bending and reforming across days and nights until the sense of time itself begins to dissolve. From Friday afternoon to the first pale hints of Monday light, the forest carries a constant flux of sound, shifting from floor-focused intensity to moments of near-weightless suspension. The turning point comes when the moon hovers over the DJ booth on the main stage and the current draws inward: La Cabaña, a wooden cabin hidden among the pines, becomes the gathering place for music at its most unguarded and exploratory. Here, reality softens, and performances take the shape of dreams.

It was in these hours between Friday and Saturday that STBL opened the portal. His set arrived quietly, almost imperceptibly, whispers in the air, static drifting like dust in moonlight. Slowly, harmonies began to shimmer and unfold, shadowed by pads that seemed to stretch toward some unreachable horizon. Beneath it all, a subtle rumble grew, reassuring, like company long imagined finally appearing at your side. Nothing felt rushed; each sound seemed to wait for the moment it was meant to reveal itself.  

The power of the set lies in its restraint, in the way it suspended time and quietly rewrote it in the minds of those present. A moment like this resists fading; it lingers, carried forward as a story that will be told again and again.

Delayed x Perpendicular: STBL (live)

Introducing a deeply soothing Unrush mix from DOC - a producer, live act, and founder of Selene Series, whose sound I've been exploring since a friend connected us at this year's Mostra Festival.

For this mix, he delivers something truly special: a warm, comforting sound blanket which spans over almost 3 hours. Moving away from the more experimental edges he often explores, DOC has crafted a mix that feels like a gentle, unhurried stroll.

In his own words:

"Not every mix needs to be ‘a journey’. This mix is a stroll.

A stroll around that feeling of warmth, of tranquility, of comfort. A walk in circles around different iterations of beautiful music to soothe your senses. Because sometimes, the act of walking is the destination in itself. And when we are not going anywhere, just being for the sake of being, there is no rush. We are unrushed."

The Assignment: Rework a shared recording from over 100 years ago

There is just one step to this project: This week’s project, the next to last of 2025, is a community remix. In an act of globe-spanning asynchronous holiday-season camaraderie, we’ll all work from the same shared source material, a recording that dates back well over 100 years. Download the performance of “Nina” by Hans Kindler (1892 – 1949) and remix it and rework it to your heart’s delight. The recording credits G. B. Pergolesi (1710 – 1736) as the work’s composer, but more recently it has become attributed to Vincenzo Legrenzo Ciampi (1719 – 1762). Access it at:
