Clergy 10 Years | "Charlie" [CRGX3]

Raised in Bristol, Jack Wallis' earliest musical influences were shaped by dubstep, punk and UK techno, shown by his early releases on Darwin's label SPE:C. Following his move to Berlin in 2017, he and The Lady Machine established Unterwegs, an imprint to release music from like-minded talents, including Decka's pressurized, raw, and driving techno productions. Since then, he has released on top-tier labels such as KEY Vinyl, AMTK+, Token, Tar Hallow, Reclaim Your City. Pushing the boundaries of modern-day techno, the quality of his music is consistently recognized with multiple sold-out releases and growing portfolio of remix commissions for esteemed artists such as Dubfire. He now runs a second label with artist Roseen - Frameworks - where the duo released their debut album "Imaginary Places" in 2023. In September 2024, Decka released his first solo full-length LP "Exit" on Tar Hallow. His fervent love for analog in the studio translates behind decks. DJ'ing only with vinyl since the beginning of his career, Decka's sets not only highlight his clear-cut technique but are filled with moments of suspense and tension amidst high-octane energy, drawing on his extensive knowledge of techno, never limiting himself to just one style.

A true dance music pioneer, Tom Middleton has built up an impressive back catalogue over the past two decades including collaborations with the likes of Aphex Twin, Josh Wink, Adam Freehand, and notably with Mark Pritchard as Global Communication. That along with his solo prowess and memorable remixes for Kerri Chandler, Orbital, Ennio Morricone, Jon Hopkins and more have marked him out as one of the scene’s most respected artists.

2016 sees the return of Tom Middleton to Anjunadeep with a 4 track re-imagining of his 2015 club hit “HEVA”. The package features reworks from two diverse talents, Vincenzo and Geode, plus additional mixes from Tom himself including a stunning ambient production and 2-Step remix.

Both of Tom’s own EP contributions are trademark examples of his deft skill and ingenuity when reworking his own productions. Two diverse takes on an Anjuna anthem.

Next up, we welcome upcoming UK producer and Middleton’s own tipped talent, Geode, with his garage infused club roller, awash with wavering synths and quirky percussive licks.

Anjunadeep legend Vincenzo returns the favour following Tom’s much-loved 2012 remix of ’Sometimes Saturday', offering up a signature melodic rework, complimenting the spacey atmospherics of the original with a hallmark deep rolling bassline. Debuted by James Grant during his live set at Anjunadeep Miami, Vincenzo's deep house cut has already begun the rounds, a peak summer gem.
