One of the most interesting acts that's released regularly via трип​ though is PTU, a duo comprising of the USSR-born Alina Izolenta and Kamil Ea. 'A Broken Clock Is Right Twice A Day' is their latest EP and the seven-track odyssey touches upon all aspects of their production set.

We've got the first play of 'Yes', a high-octane, frantic techno jam, one that twists and turns like a demonic runaway train. It's intense and should be approached with caution, but also one that typifies just how diverse and bold трип​ is as a record label.

R-Time Records shines a light on classic tracks that didn’t always get the recognition they deserve, with the label’s first two releases coming from Sir Lord Comixx and FBK. Real name Amoon Andrews, Sir Lord Commix’s discography has been in high demand for many years, evident by soaring market prices. The A-side of ‘Retroactive (Part Two)’ features two tracks from a rare untitled release on ‘Hard Up’, whilst the B-side is made up of ‘Chicago Jazz’ from the ‘Funk Box EP’ on Eukahouse (under his a.Moon’ moniker in ‘98) and ‘Motionvibe’ from ‘Azid Jazz EP’ on Cynic in ‘05.

Cosmic synths join wonky arps in ‘UR My Omen’ before moving into the more up-tempo ‘Fog Horn’ with its robust drums, off-beat bleeps and filtered effects. ‘Chicago Jazz’ takes things into deeper territories with crystalline Rhodes and jazz-influenced samples until ‘Motionvibe’ concludes the package with its syncopated structure comprised of twisted sounds, murky atmospherics and effervescent nuances.

UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone makes his second appearance on Rekids with a massive vocal cut entitled ‘On My Way’, featuring a remix from 50Weapons and Hyperdub’s Addison Groove.

The Italian techno producer had an active year touring in 2017, dropping only one release on Tenax Recordings. However, 2018 is already proving to be one of his busiest on the production front, with releases appearing on Rekids Special Projects, On Edge Society and his own label UNCAGE, not to mention forthcoming appearances on Gigolo and Avotre. He now returns to Rekids with his biggest sounding record yet.

With its infectious vocal, rolling kicks and off-beat hats, it is undeniable that ‘On My Way’ is destined to become one of this year’s most recognisable club tracks. On the flip, Bristolian producer and Swamp 81 affiliate Addison Groove has produced an intricate remix featuring a cacophony of percussion as a stuttering low-end joins chilling synths. Finally, Faraone concludes the package with a ‘Dub Acid Rework’, losing the vocals whilst incorporating heady 303 licks.

Radio Slave’s colossal ‘The Revenge’ track now gets expert remix treatment from Klasse Wrecks label head Luca Lozano.

Luca has also released on the likes of Optimo, Sex Tags UFO and Unknown to the Unknown and brings a raw, acid tinged sound to his beats. As a performer Lozano’s versatile DJ sets span between raw house, cosmic disco and dynamic breakbeat selections, which is why he’s become a regular at key clubs across Europe and tasteful festivals like Houghton.

His ‘How Bow Dis’ Remix’ is solid and features wild old school flavours in its huge drum breaks, a monstrous bassline and dark filtered vocals. It bangs for seven superbly heavy minutes with plenty of twists and turns along the way, and will transform any club or warehouse into a writhing, sweaty mass in seconds.

On the flip, his ‘How Bow Dah’’ version is based around elastic drums and rumbling bass while a loose synth line darts about up top. Some distant synths bring a sense of serenity to the madness and so despite the physical impact of this one, it also has real emotion to it.
