Raffaele Rizzi has been hitting all the right spots lately so it was only a matter of time before he had a full release on Deeperfect, so this EP was the perfect candidate. 

&#8220;Open Grave&#8221; stomps and pumps with full force, keeping the arrangement to a clever bare minimum. The tricky bassline rises and falls to the huge momentum caused by the dominant hi-hats, leading up to a siren line that prepares us for the apocalyptic breakdown. 

The title track touches down like a steamroller grinding away, while the sneakiest of riffs creeps in and takes control with carefully planned tension. Meanwhile, an infectious vocal loop and bouncy snare edits add the necessary quirkiness to get things moving even more. Tony Dee&#8217;s interpretation takes a dubbier route with prominent sub bass and more focus on the vocal action, in combination with a more atmospheric rendition of the main riff.

Miguel is back on Deeperfect with his darker take on Tech House, and the opening track sets the mood perfectly: A simple groove, quirky percussion, shuffling drums and dubby sensibilities. 

&#8220;Buenos Aliens&#8221; picks up from there and drops some ultra-pitched-down vocals, while rumbling subs hold things down and let the rising and falling synth line take control effortlessly through cavernous effects and eerie washes. The same goes for Cele&#8217;s interpretation of &#8220;Cielo&#8221;, where a busier rhythm section provides the momentum and dark synth stabs mix with the playful sub bass to create maximum impact.

Firmly established as an integral Anjunadeep family member with tracks like "Craymal" and "Back To Love", Beckwith has built a reputation as one of one of the most exciting house producers to come out of New York in the last few years. 

The "Anandia EP" sees Beckwith develop his trademark blend of deep bass and melody with a newfound layer of grit, as heard in the acidic beast that is the title track. 

Building unassumingly from a rolling groove, the track strips back to the bare bones leaving just a distorted vocal refrain before a squelching acid line takes the track into serious late night territory. 

"Clarion" is a bouncier affair, showcasing hints of old-school garage influence with shuffling drums and another distorted vocal weaving between a growling bassline. 

Rounding off the EP is "Life" (feat. Javi), another bubbling groove complete with stylish male vocals from Javi, a rugged, dancefloor ready bassline and crisp, punchy percussion.

Back with another serious heavy hitter, Crosstown Rebels presents the latest from dream team Psychemagik, ‘Black Noir Schwarz’ ­ their first original production not to be self­released and already championed by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. Tensnake needs little introduction. A household name since his dancefloor smash ‘Coma Cat’ on Permanent Vacation, the Hamburg born DJ and producer Marco Niemerski has since been in ever­increasing demand. His music effortlessly transcends genres and his forthcoming debut album ‘Glow’ is set to cement his reputation as a major talent. For Crosstown Rebels, Tensnake delivers a full­bodied and rolling ‘Black, Noir...’ rework.

Minéo has been buried away in the studio for the past couple of years working on music for his new solo project. With his latest release ‘Turn Out The Lights’ flying high on Hot Creations, Mineo arrives on Crosstown Rebels and turns in a totally fresh take on ‘Black Noir Schwarz’, revelling in a P­funk style groove and filtered vox.

This long anticipated debut EP from Domino Effect Records head honcho's S. Jay & Ostertag has been months in the making and finally lands as DEFECT004. The EP introduces itself with a heavy original production 'Have You' focusing on the huge contrast of bass when it drops.. Beginning as they mean to go on, the following 3 productions feature a carefully selected choice of other Domino artists, including Filthy Rich, Kyle Watson & A. Lister.

'Smoking Mirrors' is another hard hitting garage lick with big reese basses and skanking rhythms, and these boys know how to provide just that, following that is a collaboration with South African bass pioneer Kyle Watson, 'Let Me Down' splits their 2 styles right down the middle as Kyle's touches become apparent as soon as the track hits full flow... The epic breakdown is ear-grabbing and full of energy.

Finally, the last track with A. Lister, provides a great way to close the EP off, 'No Question' is another housey production with trademark A. Lister drums and grooving percussive elements to keep the feet moving from start to finish. Stefano Noferini&#8217;s version is more straightfoward, employing a rocksteady rhythm section to do the dirty work and timestretching the vocals the old-school way. Busy percussion keeps the momentum high and the sly bassline ensures maximum grooviness.
