After writing music together for months last year, Hjalmar and Kristjan decided to take their scribbles out of their cave and into the big world. While horse-riding on Kristrun’s farm in the countryside of Iceland, the inspiring view of geothermal factories lead to the birth of the name. Cloud Factories came to fruition. Irish drummer, Patrick Blaney joined in September 2016.

Kristjan Hermannsson was first taught music by his father - and he likes to keep it in the family, calling on him and his brother as his backing band when not at university in Liverpool.  Embracing elements from jazz, blues, and rock, the multi-instrumentalist is equally as comfortable behind a piano with a slow, sincere ballad as he is centre stage performing his upbeat guitar-driven crowdpleasers - the lot tied together with clear, soulful vocals.
