'Continuing a strong summer season, Monday Social welcomes Makanan & Savi Leon back to the label for a new single entitled ‘No More Lies’. Based in Spain and the USA respectively, both Makanan and Savi have enjoyed measurable success in their solo careers. With a combined discography that stretches the better part of two decades, the duo has showcased their groovy, percussive sounds via Selador, Stereo, Toolroom, Under No Illusion and more, while tastemaker DJs such as Sasha, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia and Mark Knight have all been steadfast supporters along the way. Now, presenting their debut collaborative project, Makanan & Savi land back on Monday Social with the exhilarating sounds of ‘No More Lies’. Robust and driving throughout; its funked up, supremely contoured groove proves to be infectious, while clattering percussive arrangements and swing heavy rhythms set the anchor for soulful vocal phrasing and balmy effects to work their magic. As a favourite of Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli, Nicole Moudaber and Roger Sanchez, Spanish artist Gruuve makes his label debut with the first interpretation of ‘No More Lies’. The Barcelona resident re-affirms his ability to tip a dance floor over the edge with timely drum flurries, looping vocal fragments and an evolving effects narrative to send people home with a smile. Meanwhile, rounding out the release with the second and final interpretation is Gianmarco Limenta who also makes his label debut. The Italian born, Barcelona based artist complements the previous versions with a deeper, more playful take that delights with its whimsical vocal rearrange and retro tonal themes.'
