Houston trio, When in Doubt, is a House Music DJ group consisting of James Elam, Gus Valega, and Peter Millhorn. Since March of 2018, the trio has crafted its own take on a sub-genre of groovy underground stripped-back Deep House Music, a sound that is increasingly popular throughout the European club scene.

During sets, When in Doubt plays back-to-back, never losing sight of the groovy bass lines that make their sound unique. The group has been prolific in 2019, playing over 45 shows in some of Houston's most notable venues. Their success has secured two monthly residencies at Lumen Lounge and Belvedere, as well as opportunities to play at Etro, Boondocks, The Dive, Bauhaus, MFAH Houston, and other Houston music hotspots.

At the end of 2018, When in Doubt teamed up with Houston record label Deep End Records. The trio is now official Deep End Residents. The group's influences include Dutch and British Minimal House, as well as classic sounds from the Chicago Deep House scene. Despite being the new kids on the block, there's no doubt they'll leave their mark on the Houston house industry.
