As we move into the second half of 2019, Ibiza’s favourite party crew, Do Not Sleep, continue to provide the means to keep us dancing, this time with a fresh EP from Glasgow’s hottest export, Dalfie. Comprised of two original tracks and an astute remix from Slovenia’s Alex Ranerro, Dalfie’s ‘After The Early Night EP’ is set to be one of the summer’s most sought-after sleeper hits.
Heavily inspired by Dalfie’s early rave experiences, the title track opens the EP with foreboding, dark techno that is going to test warehouse systems to their limits. Built around clean, tribal percussion, the synths and effects work together to create an intensity that few other tracks can match – a standout track without a doubt, and one which is guaranteed to keep things moving into the early hours.
With ‘Back To The B’, Dalfie takes a more considered approach to deliver a deeper track which is laced with warm strings, smooth vocal samples and an ethereal vibe which makes it perfect for those summer daytime sessions. Meanwhile, Alex Ranerro offers an alternative version which takes inspiration from the classic house sound and retains the original’s summer feel but adds a jackin’ groove, making it an essential cut for the club.
Having been a fixture of the Glasgow club scene for most of his life, Dalfie’s recent releases on labels like Pets Recordings, Glasgow Underground and Gruvv have catapulted him into the set lists of the genre’s elite. Counting names like Loco Dice, Richy Ahmed, Tiga, Dusky and Skream as fans, as well as maintaining a solid presence on BBC Radio 1 with Pete Tong and Danny Howard supporting his music, you know that Dalfie is set for big things.

Leonardo Gonnelli returns on Deeperfect with another dynamic and innovative release. He is renowned for his exceptional performances at popular events including ADE, Dockyard Festival and Terminal 4. This Florentine-raised artist has taken the music industry by storm since starting out in 2001 and has gained ongoing support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Marco Carola and Stefano Noferini. He has previous releases on some of the world’s most iconic labels including Steve Lawler’s VIVA Music, Simon Dunmore’s Defected Records, Gruuv and Play It Say It, leading him to another incredible release on Deeperfect. ‘Everybody Get Up’ is another fantastic cut, built upon a heavy bassline and cracking snares and produced smoothly with bouncing build-ups of tech tinged claps and drops. The track is complimented perfectly with captivating hooks and vocals, making this another hard hitting dancefloor weapon from the impressive and legendary Italian artist.
