Gisele De Santi pode até ser só uma menina, como canta em História da Menininha, mas uma audição mais 
atenta logo nos faz duvidar. Em seu disco de estreia, financiado pelo FUMPROARTE, Gisele revela-se 
cantora e compositora de segurança e maturidade notáveis, especialmente se considerarmos seus escassos 
25 anos de idade. Sua trajetória, porém, começou bem mais cedo. 
  
Aos 14 anos de idade, compôs Outono, sua primeira canção, que descreve o fim de um romance de verão: “o 
outono vai chegar e esfriar, a minha mágoa o vento vai carregar”. Já nesse momento, a personalidade de 
Gisele começava a se definir, com indicações de seu gosto pelo “frio” e de seu espírito melancólico, que não 
tardariam a aparecer de forma mais explícita em futuras composições: “você querendo só canção e eu 
inventei um estilo, você arrasou meu quarteirão e eu construindo um edifício”. Na época, Gisele já cantava em 
bares de Porto Alegre, cidade onde nasceu e cresceu. Com o passar do tempo, começou a mostrar seu 
repertório autoral, atraindo a atenção do público, que passou a pedir por um registro. 
  
Gisele De Santi é, também, o nome desse primeiro registro, produzido por Gilberto Ribeiro Jr., coproduzido 
por Fabrício Gambogi e pós-produzido por Leo Bracht. As composições, todas autorais, passeiam pelos mais 
diversos estilos: bossa-nova, blues, jazz, chamamé, samba-rock, embora nunca de forma exatamente 
tradicional, muito mais como se retrabalhasse o gênero de forma pessoal. 
  
Outra característica que chama a atenção em seu trabalho é o flerte com a metalinguagem. Intérprete 
essencialmente intimista e delicada, Gisele canta, por exemplo, que “a bossa era linda e acabou, entenda, eu 
quero rock ‘n roll”; “me quedo en el sur se chama-me assim”; “por você eu faço rocks”; “eu e você, tava 
gravado, em doze faixas que falam de amor”. Doze faixas que, por coincidência ou não, compreendem o 
mesmo número de faixas de seu disco. E, claro, todas falam de amor.
O disco teve lançamento também no Japão, em dezembro de 2011, pelo selo Disques Dessinee. 
Não à toa, disco e cantora foram reconhecidos na edição de 2010 do Prêmio Açorianos, premiados nas 
categorias intérprete e revelação, além de receber indicações a melhor compositor e melhor disco do ano de 
MPB. Gisele estreia como promessa já estabelecida, pronta para construir sua história, e, sobretudo, mais 
música. Que assim seja.
