All my today music taste belongings are in this very special mix, spontaneous by the sound but special because of the period this music was collected. Our true warrior of love San Miguel is inviting us with >> MONADA BRAHMA 002 << to an outstanding 2 hours+ journey inside the depths of slow kaleidoscopic and space- expanding sounds including some of his latest juicy tracks. <3

Born in East Berlin, Germany, San Miguel were floating through the legendary Berlin sound vortex already in early ages and learnt quickly to juggle with all variations of frequencies and tunes. He's a real master of clashing with the styles and performed in the most different locations around the world. His work comprises trance-like healing sessions, multicultural booty-shaking down tempo as well as deep grooving acid beats.
As producer he loves to experiment with deep synth, gentle spheres and a range of acoustic instruments to reconnect us back to the universal essence of all. 

The cover art work is a contribution of Radka Soulart. Radka Tiarksova's highly vibrating art is a true blessing and is just as lively, colorful & profound as the life we call reality. We’re deeply grateful for this special collaboration and are happy to have the possibility to share it with all of you. <3

For our whirling Monada father San Miguel we choose Radkas „Freedom“ of her series „12 gifts“: The colorful spreading wings of the phoenix and the psychedelic textures are just perfectly mirroring the soundscapes of the mix as well as the shining being of San Miguel himself, while FREEDOM is a main point we will never get tired fighting for at our beloved Monada Project!

The intro is a collaboration with San Miguel's talented daughter and will accompany us furthermore through our podcast journeys.

"It was a beautiful summer day, the young couple enjoying their lazy trip along the coastline in their convertible. This was surely the most beautiful day of their vacation, as they rolled through the lush green landscape, savoring the scent of all these flowers. They stopped occasionally to enjoy each other’s company, sucking up the breathtaking landscapes or sipping from sizzling champagne, looking forward to yet another lazy day and sparkling night. They both had the feeling that this was for real, that they finally found their soul mate.
They drove into the hills, following a winding road over a mountain pass. The landscape was still beautiful on the other side of the mountains, but the greenery was gone and it was just a desert. As they drove through this desolate landscape, the mood changed. A sense of loneliness descended upon them. They started to doubt… what would happen if their car broke down? Would they be able to make it to the other side, where the mountains looked even more beautiful, but still so far away? Then a red warning light started to flash on the dashboard and all of a sudden the engine stalled. The car came tantalizingly slowly to a halt and the young couple looked anxiously at each other… Would this be the end? They had no idea what kind of test was waiting for them…"

Very pleased to share with you, this lush set that I played with my brother Dali Sana at When a Fire Starts to Burn w/ Warte:mal, Luana Schwengber & more
that was a fundraiser party we co-created, in order to collect money for Amazon Watch & Up2green who are two NGO's fighting to preserve and reforesting the rainforest in the Amazonas that currently are plagued with huge fires, because of human greed.
We managed to collect money to plant roughly 4.000 trees :D

My tribute to the surreal 2020 - slow, trippy, long, with ups and downs, melancholic, yet punchy. 
Deepest thanks go out to all the labels and music producers out there making and releasing this magical music despite all the obstacles - this has helped so many, including myself, get through this weird period of time a lot. Here's some of the finest, freshest and otherwise profoundly satisfying  downtempo/chillrave/electronica/organic house from the last year and earlier that caputures my memories and feeling of the 2020, released on labels like @camelridersrec, @randomcollectivecr, @heimlichaufsc, @amselcom, @fernab-berlin, @plurpurarecords and many other. 

Recorded in the art space MALA on 09.01.2021, Saturday night in Cēsis, in complete solitude, though streamed live on the Facebook account. Barely made home before the curfew.
