We have had our ear on this talented man for a long time, so we are very excited to present this fantastic piece of music.

'Feelings' convey a mellow, laid back energy with immense swagger.
Jevon's vocals are heart felt and his tones are warm and delicate.
The production is pretty stripped back, that allow his vocals to breath, but very classy with the subtle tweaks you can hear in the background. An elegant production of the highest order.

The track forms part of the Compilation 'Cosmic Vibrations Vol.2' compiled by Zeb Samuels, that is coming out May 22nd 2020 on the Deep Heads Label.
There are a total of 14 tracks, 7 of which are unreleased and exclusive to this compilation.

London-born and based musician and multi-instrumentalist Zeb Samuels has announced the release of the single, ‘Astral Commence’ out now via Deep Heads. The single, musically directed by Zeb Samuels, is the collaborative project of an array of talented musicians including Kiko Continentino (keys), Byron Wallen (trumpet and flugelhorn), Marc Cyril (bass) and Roy Reemy (drums). 
 
Zeb Samuels has seen support from a number of tastemaker publications, including the likes of CLASH Magazine, Magnetic Magazine, XLR8R, Electronic Groove and Decoded Magazine as well as airplay from BBC Radio 6 Music’s Gilles Peterson, Don Letts and Nemone & 5FM’s Kid Fonque.

As a label owner, Zeb Samuels has worked alongside many rising artists, including the likes of SYNKRO, Djrum, Joe Armon- Jones, Congi, Geode and Ash Walker.

The musicians on the single each have their own impressive history behind them. Starting with Kiko Continentino who played keyboards and synths for Azymuth and worked with Milton Nascimento, then moving on to Byron Wallen, who trained with Jimmy Owens, Donald Byrd and Jon Faddis before going on to work with George Benson, Chaka Khan, Courtney Pine and Lonnie Liston Smith. Marc Cyril continues the trend, having worked alongside the likes of Joss Stone, Keziah Jones, Jr Walker & The All Stars while Roy Reemy, hailing from Tel Aviv, brings his own set of unique skills.

Opening with the delicately cascading piano keys and soulful trumpet, ‘Astral Commence’ takes its time, gently exploring the surrounding soundscapes before developing a slow build of syncopation. Occasionally drifting to the absurd and experimental, with an air of a smoke-filled lounge and live musicians jamming it out on stage, the single still manages to maintain its cohesive and polished atmosphere. The result leaves the listener eager to repeat the experience and peel back another layer of the transformative track.

Speaking of the creation of the single, Zeb Samuels tells us: “‘Astral Commence’ is a track that has taken over 2 years to complete. It’s the first record that is totally production-based without me performing on. Some of my heroes have contributed to the record, so I feel very honoured and proud to have put this all together.”

Deep Heads are proud to present the new single 'Breeze Blowing' by Zeb Samuels.

The single is taken from Zeb's forthcoming album 'Arrival' that is planned for release in the early part of 2021.
 
You can hear the music has come a long way since the first instalments of sounds from Zeb on the imprint and hears a diverse pallet of sounds incorporated into this recording. We hear Zeb's vocals are more progressed, hearing the artist presenting more of a chorus driven piece of music, that breaths settled confidence within his voice. 'Breeze Blowing' delivers the energy of a winter's day, yet captures a warmth, deep within the core of the artistry. A beautiful piano hook is at the very heart of the song, with 2step beats lacing the track together. We also hear the talents of Jed Bevington on Violin who contributes some mind-blowing layers.
 
Then on remix duties is the very talented Canadian born, Sunrain, that Zeb has been a fan of for quite some time. A Pianist at heart with exceptional production techniques, the remix takes the recording into new dimensions. It's stripped back without the vocal but utilises the main piano hook to create an ambient soundscape that is nothing short of exceptional. Definitely an artist to keep an ear on for the future.
