Özgür Can is a producer and audio-engineer who has been putting out all manner of house, tech and prog fusions since 2003. He also releases as Autonomi amongst other aliases, and has landed on established labels like Truesoul, Cocoon and Sincopat.

He kicks off this latest missive with the dark and sultry 'Chance.' Spoken word vocals lend the heavy groove and warped bassline real intimacy while tension builds through the sleek synths. It all adds up to a perfectly heady house track for those cosy dancefloor moments.

A hologram above the polished mahogany finish of the dashboard reminds us that the engines are already revved up to the maximum. Apart from this information it actually feels as if we are shooting through this hyperspace tunnel in some sort of robotic massage chair. The radio picks up a vocoder voice from another timeline, telling something about Hold Your Ground. We turn our head and look over to Stephan Zovsky sitting at the steering wheel with an enigmatic smile. Now he shifts gears... and wham: All of a sudden we're in an entirely different reality. It's very bright, and we're on the same trajectory as a whirring arpeggio structure. The understated electro vibes and housey implications of Jutta are highly contagious. So it's no surprise that Angelov asks to take the helm for a while, and now he sends us hurling through a series of audacious loops and vertiginous barrel rolls.

The latest selection of tracks from Lopezhouse, the duo consisting of David Lopez and Carlos Cruz from La Mancha, Spain, have been a steadfast fixture in John Digweeds DJ sets for months now, their unique creativity always getting huge crowd responses everywhere around the globe. The duos extraordinary ability to amaze with their inimitable electronic compositions is second to none.

The Lopezhouse sound is vibrant, distinctive and different, and Bedrock is always committed to supporting thought-provoking experimentalists of the highest order.
Surfing those uncharted sound waves, Something Is Happening is an utterly hypnotic 12-minute throbbing futuristic journey, that constantly surprises and delights with twists galore. The Spanish duos uniquely esoteric, organic attitude also shines bright throughout their lunar landing inspired Strange Music From Dark Side Moon. This is exceptional forward-thinking House music at its finest.

Lopezhouse first came to the attention of Bedrock fans when John Digweed included Guy Js excellent dub remix of Crosses & Angels on his Live in Brooklyn opus. Their debut November Clouds EP followed in the summer of 2017 and was met with much critical acclaim. Since then, they have carefully navigated their ever-rising popularity and gained huge respect with further excellent releases on the likes of Exploited, Plattenbank, Sincopat, Suara and Vondreib, before returning to Bedrock to conclude a highly successful 2019. Lopezhouse are most definitely artists to watch into the future.

When asked about his Firestarter EP, Cologne producer Ramirez Son revealed that both tracks include not only a vocal sampled from a horror flick, but are also inspired by their soundtracks. The title track “Firestarter" is a deep house hommage to the 80s synth opus by Tangerine Dream, soundtrack of the 1984 horror movie classic Firestarter.

Based in Los Angeles, Perspectives Digital heads North for its next release. The label’s newest roster addition, Clay Smith, calls Oakland home.
