The eighth essential release from Sounds of Khemit is another superb various artists collection featuring Tebra, Hrag Mikkel and Benyebe.
This release is inspired by Sobek, the Khemitian crocodile master of strength, extreme power, Nile River, water, warfare, strategy, fertility and protection. The strength, speed and ferocity of the crocodile was thought to be symbolic of the power of the Ruler of ancient Khemit and, say the label, he brings light to their mission to connect people through music on a deeper level.
Bar25 regular, Dama Records man and afro house specialist Tebra kicks off with 'Izvor'. It's a majestically hypnotic roller with ethnic percussion and spiritual synths. The drums are loose and deep and wispy pads bring more enchanting detail.
Next up is musical storyteller Hrag Mikkel who has credits on Proton Music and Hoomidaas as well as a fine reputation for his musical sounds. 'Odds & Ends' draws you in deep with supple drum lines and cuddly pads. There is real elegance in the chord progressions and fullness of sound that wraps all around you.
Finally, Benyebe is another fast emerging producer in the world of organic house. His 'Solar' is a third superbly deep house track with heartfelt piano keys lingering over the heavy but smooth drums. Yawning pads expand the groove while tumbling hits and exotic strings add yet more heady and enticing detail.
‘Sobek’ is a scintillating trio of signature grooves from Sounds of Khemit.

Come Closer duo is debuting on Sirin Music with “Ram Tam Tam”. A collaborative project by well-known DJs and producers Mike Spirit and Asaga connected through their work on Highway Records. Under their new moniker, they are presenting their own sound vision of the modern dance floors, blending elements of deep, organic and progressive house with tribal grooves and crispy percussion.

Mike Spirit is one of the pioneers who played for more than 25 years a key role in the development of the electronic scene in Eastern Europe. Together with Asaga, they are creating dark, moody and twisted patterns followed by melodic, hypnotic and dramatic atmospheres.

Behind duos back there are original traks and remixes that saw the light on Mobilee Records, Global Underground, Matthias Meyer’s Strangely Enough, Guy Mantzur’s Moments and Dave Pad of Volen Sentir’s Forestrip Music. The latest release 'Still Life', one of the hyped tracks of Tulum 2022, is out now on the legendary Renaissance Records. We are glad to greet Come Closer joining Sirin Music family.

The years keep marching on, the world keeps turning, and the memories keep coming.

This specific memory is from American Brazilian musician Nehli, who delivers four original tracks on his ‘Memories’ EP.

Floaty, euphoric, and anchored in driving percussion, Nehli opens the project with the titular track, on which he uses soaring keys and synth pads to create a dreamy, progressive cut. 

Melodies twirl through the layered production, building over five minutes to their final resolution. 

The opener is followed up with the heavier, more melancholy Omni, with touching chord movements and a driving bassline. The feeling is nostalgic and straight from the heart.

The third track Astres comes complete with chunky drums and rolling bass synths, delivering a slice of dancefloor-ready dance heat.

On the final cut, Solstice, the emery continues to build, as Nehli and Hena serve up a slice of swooning melodic house, complete with glittering synths and swinging drums.

And it wouldn’t be an Everything Will Be OK release without a package of remixes, which this time come from Greg Ocham, Peve, and Guy Maayan, who all put their stamp on Nehli’s original cuts.
