3 QUESTIONS to KATE ZUBOK:

Q: Let's get into the mood for your mix. Why did you choose these tracks and what do they still mean to you today?

A: These were the first electronic tracks I had heard at an early age (4-6 y.o.) and got the most impressed from. To me they will always remain very special, as they are representing ageless, provocative and soulful, energizing and nostalgic sounds, which remind me my careless childhood.

Q: Do you still play some of those tracks in your DJ sets now?

A: Yes I do! And I love how the energy immediately rises when I play them. Music is like a time machine, it can bring you right back at the time when you first heard it. I also like to play old tracks because I was too young to rave on them when they came out.

Q: Which future Zubok projects are on the way?

A: I’m currently working on preparation for live performances and other new interesting projects. I’m also hoping to finally release my first video clip in the beginning of the new year, which I'm preparing already since a very long time.

Guided by his passion for music, A-Kintero, always dreamed of leaving his native city of Medellin to pursue what larger cities promised. Landing in New York City, he has achieved more than what he thought possible for an artist, experiencing unforgettable shows at many venues and festivals across the US.  He has  fortuitously landed recent involvement in the rising Brooklyn music scene as being part of “ebb+flow” since 2016, an experience that has enriched his music career as he becomes more involved in community building and event production for the Brooklyn collective.  AK, is not only a talented DJ but he is also a creative mind that unleashes consistent and fearless sounds that capture people’s attention during his sets. In 2014 , AK  co-founded “intimate Project Music” a digital and vinyl electronic music label where he continues to regularly work releasing his own productions as well as providing a platform for fellow artists across the globe to release their creations.

AK maintains a consistent musical curiosity which continues to lead him into delving deeper into the electronic music scene.  Soon heading to Burning Man this year, AK’s musical career promises to continue to grow as he becomes immersed into the cultural vibrancy of the Burner community.

Set enregistré au Bunker Paradise le 24 nov 2024 par Chris de la Costa au cours d'un week-end absolument MAGIQUE et tout en phase avec la joie d'être plongé dans la lumière de la Grande Conscience Universelle.

Chaque pièce de cet album a une signification et une raison d'y paraitre, et dans le contexte irréel de sa manifestation, la pièce FROM HERE TO ETERNITY de Giorgio Moroder (1977) donne tout son sens à l'album en connectant l'histoire des débuts du mouvement électronique jusqu'à l'éternité en passant par ce 23 nov 2024, jour très symbolique. 

Merci à la légende et mon grand ami Michel Simard alors présent, qui l'a simplement loadé sur un deck en disant "essai donc ca voir, me semble que ca rentrerait bien" Let's Go! 

Et ce fut le cas!

À peu près toutes les pièces sont inspirées par les soirées Danny Tenaglia et Deep-Dish du Stereo en nov 2024 (25e anniversaire), avec quelques rappels historiques, des nouveautés que j'adore, la pièce de mon amour et moi qui nous connectait au CIEL "Touched the Sky", ma pièce avec Michel Simard DUNE, ainsi qu'une pièce de mes amis Hicky&Kalo pour leur rendre hommage par amour.
