Alan’s new single on Drumcode demonstrates exactly why Alan Fitzpatrick is a powerhouse within the techno scene. ‘The Tetra’ will enrapture the dance floor from the off with it’s brooding nature and syncopated claps. It pushes forwards with glistening highs before more melodic stabs join the equation and slowly the beautiful melodic phrase partakes in this outstanding piece of work. ‘We Are Forever Young’ finishes off the single with a slow burning after hour’s vibe that will keep the clubbers nodding. The third and final track ‘1992’ takes us back and has a tougher more energetic feel to it. With crunchy drums, a melodic synth and a catchy vocal hook this record is another Alan Fitzpatrick masterpiece.

Strut return to the archives of seminal Chicago house label Dance Mania in January for ‘Dance Mania: Ghetto Madness’. The follow-up to Strut’s acclaimed Dance Mania label retrospective ‘Hardcore Traxx’ from early 2014, this new installment places the spotlight on the raw, stripped back, hyper BPMs of ghetto house and the rise of the movement’s fresh generation of stars during the mid-‘90s including DJ Deeon, DJ Funk, Jammin’ Gerald and DJ Milton.

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

This years compilation has been lovingly curated by our team to present a diverse selection, mixing the underground touch of berlin here and there, the sweet warmth of a vocal track like Alex Dimou’s, ‘This Time’, feat Black Soda, and always maintaining a careful dynamic balance and consistency throughout. Sandeman’s ‘No More Conversations’ weighs one end of the scale with a satisfying peak time thriller, alongside Roland Leesker’s own floor banger, ‘My Warehouse’. Tracks like martínek’s ‘She Bad’ operate a bit more relaxed, or ‘1141’ from George Vala, a fully functional flight into a higher realm. Robbie Akbal and Muk.ti team up and create a stellar low-down-groover, ‘Every Retreat’. Sunny open air tracks like the Daniel Dubb’s mix of ‘Everything You Got’ by m.O.N.R.O.E. are to be found as well. R+R even makes an appearance with another highly charged track, ‘L’essentiell’, keeping the tempo up in a fantastic way. All of this is delicately mixed by Roland Leesker, so grab the mix as well for easy listening. We hope we achieved what we set out to do, we wish you the best, and we’ll see you on this island!

The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it’s all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil’s remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil’s signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.
