Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

One more lingering pulsation of the earthquake quivered through the ground. A heavy tile, shaken from the roof, fell and struck the old man on the temple. He lay breathless and pale, with his gray head resting on the young girl's shoulder, and the blood trickling from the wound. When saw I thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee? When saw I thee sick or in prison, and came unto thee? Three-and-thirty years have I looked for thee; but I have never seen thy face, nor ministered to thee, my King." A calm radiance of wonder and joy lighted the pale face of Artaban like the first ray of dawn on a snowy mountain-peak. One long, last breath of relief exhaled gently from his lips. His journey was ended. His treasures were accepted. The other Wise Man had found the King. MOP is taking a deep breath through the Andean range. Some months before “The Magic Man EP” landed to earth. Now is the time for the remixes. Ahau, Juan Diego Illescas, Cedro, Johnny Posh, Humano, Kapchiz and Gabi Raiz are giving the warmth and love-light of this universe.

Trippin Jaguar will guide you along with his sound that rides the line between lucid and transcendental.  The thoughtful layering of acoustic instrumentation and captured sounds over electronic foundations mean the intricacies tend to unfold with each listen, like a good trip should.   Acid Break is a credit to his uniqueness and willingness to push the artistic boundaries, with an unrivalled ability to bring seldom heard soundscapes to the dance floor.  Trippin Jaguar enlisted a group of equally experimental remixers. Canadian comrades Nathan Hall & Johnny Posh reworked "Glow" into a cosmic and spaced out number with equal amounts of tension and ease. Analog atmosphere master Oora is back on the label with his dreamy downtempo rendition of Acid Break while Japanese expat turned  Canadian live set specialist Tokiomi makes his debut on the label with a heavy and heady remix of Mar Sara.

What happens when producers face the challenge of reimagining the tracks of other producers? Remixes EP is not something new. Nonetheless, we've been thinking about how interesting it would be to offer this thought-provoking such thing on our catalogue. Then for our newest release, the experimental-sounds-rock-climber-avid-traveler-outdoor-enthusiast Nathan Hall(@nathanhall-1) has hand picked three heavenly producers to remix tracks from his debut EP: Squamish. It still remains as a small escape from thoughts, a heavily effected one-off adventure. This time around, however, under heady doses of mind-blowing "re-configurations".

The collection features three unique reworkings. EP's first track “DuaDua“, reworded by Discoshaman (@discoshaman), struts a playful spirit that rules an interesting mood .The “Viento del Bosque” remix on the EP was done masterfully by Stephen Kirchhoff (@steffenkirchhoff) who creates a mystery-inside-you atmosphere revision, everything in its right place. For gentle night listening, “Night Wind” is remixed by Temple(@tmplsound), we can see slowness insights around every corner. The whole package will draw attention to unadvised listeners and, also, it is constructed like a outlook that weaves and unweaves the captive listener's ears.

As the final piece of her 25th anniversary, DJ Isis is now presenting her new project ‘Isis & Mozes’ to the world. Their debut EP 'OSTARA' is released April 12th, 2018 at KROOKS Records. OSTARA is the outcome of an intensive collaboration with her new studio partner Mozes.

On OSTARA, Isis & Mozes worked with different musicians, instrumentalists, and vocalists. These are the key ingredients that formed the basis for the compositions made by @isismozes. In addition to the electronic parts of the compositions, Isis & Mozes used different types of instruments featuring Mozes on guitar and Isis on vocals.
