Thirteen years ago the Nurture label released upekah, the one and only single to come under the son.sine alias. It’s an alias of a New Zealander who released only a select few EPs under different monikers, and one that sounds as good today as it did back then given all its dub infused techno glory. It’s always been hard to come buy but now Delsin are remastering and rereleasing it into the world once more.

First up is the title track, a double deep track of spacious, gently pulsing dub that initially revels in blissfully ambient swirls before growing a touch more edgy and metallic in the latter half thanks to some panning steel stabs.

On the flip, 'karuna' is just as deep and cavernous. Filling the huge chambers of echo and reverb are more ambient patterns, subtle beams of light and an ever churning, grainy dub undercurrent. Lastly, 'Mudita' is more propulsive and up right, with hunched drums rotating below and rueful ambient drones up top. Classy business indeed from the New Zealander.

홍대 상수도와 MI 에서 시작한 한국의 언더그라운드 클럽씬이 홍대 전역, 이태원, 강남은 물론 전국 대도시로 확산되면서 폭발적인 발전을 거듭한지도 거의 20년이 됐다. 이제는 세계적인 DJ들이 꼭 거쳐갈만큼 서울도 클러버들이 즐길수 있는 문화도시의 대열에 꼈다. 세계 여느 도시의 클럽발전사를 보면 점점 더 상업적으로 변모해가는 대형클럽형 유행 속에서 음악의 본질을 잃지 않는 양질의 놀거리는 도시의 아이콘으로 부상한다. 지난 20년 가까이 국내 클럽문화를 이끌어온 DJ 연준과 그의 크루들은 서울을 대표하는 클럽을 만들고자 Club MYSTIK에 모였다. 2011년 10월28일 오픈 예정인 MYSTIK에서는 국내에서 접할 수 없었던 음향과 비주얼 시스템은 몰론, 엄선된 Deep House, Tech House를 기반으로 한 정통 사운드를 접할 수 있다. 또 크루들의 세계적인 DJ들과의 협업을 통한 다양한 DJ 파티도 준비중이다.

Step by step we prepare ourselves for a small journey with our label sailors JAMY WING, DANIEL HAUSER, THOMAS STIELER and DANIEL SCHWARZ. Filled with sugared water and with a portion seaweed between our teeth wie announce our fifth publication of all current label producers on polynom. JAMY WING & DANIEL SCHWARZ have taken care of the a-side here and programmed the course. On the b-side DANIEL HAUSER & THOMAS STIELER hoist their sails at the same time so we can gather way properly togehter. Ahoi!

JAMY WING represents the track „Explain Me“. This one is going straight over the afterdeck with technical grooves, driving percussion-sounds and crystal-clear and full of pressure hands over to the colleague DANIEL SCHWARZ who delicately takes on the precision work and polishes the lapsed spots with „Citytrain“ during a light south west wind and puts a fleecy sound carpet over washed-out planks.

After a short break in shooting we encounter DANIEL HAUSER`S first publication „A Particular Night“. This song is dramatic, gloomy and has a bit of a moving touch. It pushes over the freshly polished planks without breaking anything. Instead it only improves them and evens out the foundation for THOMAS STIELER`S song „Escape From House“. THOMAS takes the last layer of polish on our vibrating dance ground in the Mediterranean.
On the horizon the sun is just going down, the sea is quiet and we are dancing on the upper deck. It`s hot, romantic an we hear young crickets in the high grass. It`s funny, because we‘re at the sea... anyway. Friendship!

It took me a while to make the brother of "The Talker" from the simple reason that for "The Shooter" the idea was not to choose the obvious "top 10 candidates" bomb tracks, but to create a relentless psychedelic experience that creates enough dramas, peaks, downfalls, and mood swings that even the toughest would get overwhelmed :) During the period that is just before release of "The Talker" and until now, I was collecting material, old and new, creating different combinations and testing them - some of you probably danced to them in the parties I played.. The best bits of that material presented here. Enjoy the ride!

Born in 1980 and raised in the Detroit area, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. 

His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood. 
In 2003 he recorded his first promotional mix CD release for UR/Submerge. Since then, his faith based music production has landed him a seat with FXHE and Planet-e in Detroit. 

His debut album was released in early May 2009 by Denmark based label Echocord. 
In 2010 he began his own interpretation of Detroit techno with his new Detroit project and record label - DeepLabs. 

His sophomore album “Keep On” was released on FXHE records in 2012 and received a Recommended 4.5/5 rating on Resident Advisor. 

Hess is regarded as a perfectionist in his live sets and behind the decks layering his tracks in a very detailed and hypnotic manner. 
He has played at notable venues and events such as Tresor (Berlin), Culture Box (Copenhagen), Berghain (Berlin), Unit (Tokyo), Detroit Electronic Music Festival (Detroit), Fabric (London), The End Up (San Francisco), Golden Pudel (Hamburg), Sirup (Zagreb), Weekend Club (Berlin), Cubic Club (Madrid), Space (Ibiza), The Bunker (NYC) and many other venues all over the world. 

Luke’s continued hard work in the studio and in his performances combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.
