Co-founder of Norway’s future-facing Ute crew, Ekkel (Teo Bachs) has a front-row seat in the cockpit on their psychedelic flavoured quest. From their woodland beginnings they’ve staked a claim to freedom through music and community, and expanded to include brick and mortar club nights and a self-titled label for the release of their magnetic and mysterious techno sounds. Forest-bath electronics that take stock of Scandinavia’s ambient tradition and cross-pollinate it with a measure of acid, trance and midnight sun. Teo’s own steadily rising number of productions (side project H25 included) has fleshed out Ute’s vision with a personal twist, and there’s another three scheduled for the fall. The past few years too have seen him hard at work exploring the possibilities of sound in a lonely cabin as part of Solar Alliance, collaborating with S.O.N.S on Korean label Junction Forest and producing many more unreleased tracks, some of which you’ll hear here first for a very special number. It’s a wormhole trip that marches headlong from the shadows, shimmering and physical beats that heave and swell, tribal breaks that flit from track to track and build a cathartic mood that harks back to Ute’s woodland roots. We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of ABSIS's second EP on the Affin label, titled "Silent Voices." Building on the foundations of his previous work, ABSIS has introduced new facets to his sound, crafting an EP that is both innovative and deeply engaging.

"Silent Voices" showcases a more dancefloor-driven component, seamlessly blending it with a distinctive dubby sound signature. This combination results in tracks that are rhythmically compelling yet atmospherically rich, offering a fresh take on his music.

Unlike much of today's output aimed at being played out, ABSIS's "Silent Voices" approaches the dance floor from a different angle. The music is thoughtfully crafted to create an immersive experience, encouraging listeners to lose themselves in its intricate layers and nuanced production....

Silent Voices is the third EP to be released on our sub-label Affin Serial, which was founded last year.

Tried to connect some dots between old favorites and new obsessions.

Had a blast bringing some of my favorite @scheißmukke to a city where I spent every school vacation growing up, visiting my dad’s place.
The Frankfurt-Berlin connection definitely shaped my sound in ways I’m still figuring out.
Really happy with how the set turned out — felt right at home in the booth, from the first to the very last record.

Being able to share my Scheißmukke across Germany is something I don’t take for granted.
Can’t wait to bring my records to your favorite club next.

Berlin-based JakoJako has meticulously compiled this new compilation for Air Texture with the aim of spotlighting the deep bonds among hardware-focused producers. Featuring standout tracks from top dogs like Rødhåd, Acid Pauli and The Field, the collection reflects a shared musical language built through machines and their ability to convey the emotions of their human users, often with a rough, dusty edge that makes them all the more realistic. Drawing on the metaphor of a hardwired synthesiser that is pre-connected and instantly functional, the release celebrates unspoken creative kinship between the two with everything from deep, heads down late night dancers from Regent to more lithe and elastic rhythms from Mareena alongside JakoJako herself.

Born in 1980 and raised in the Detroit area, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. 

His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood. 
In 2003 he recorded his first promotional mix CD release for UR/Submerge. Since then, his faith based music production has landed him a seat with FXHE and Planet-e in Detroit. 

His debut album was released in early May 2009 by Denmark based label Echocord. 
In 2010 he began his own interpretation of Detroit techno with his new Detroit project and record label - DeepLabs. 

His sophomore album “Keep On” was released on FXHE records in 2012 and received a Recommended 4.5/5 rating on Resident Advisor. 

Hess is regarded as a perfectionist in his live sets and behind the decks layering his tracks in a very detailed and hypnotic manner. 
He has played at notable venues and events such as Tresor (Berlin), Culture Box (Copenhagen), Berghain (Berlin), Unit (Tokyo), Detroit Electronic Music Festival (Detroit), Fabric (London), The End Up (San Francisco), Golden Pudel (Hamburg), Sirup (Zagreb), Weekend Club (Berlin), Cubic Club (Madrid), Space (Ibiza), The Bunker (NYC) and many other venues all over the world. 

Luke’s continued hard work in the studio and in his performances combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.
