Getting Bread

God help me, (preferably an ancient Celtic God who doesn't take things too seriously)
Human beings are supposed to be very good at adapting to change, so why i am so pissed off when i change my computer from Windows XP to Windows 8.1. Nothing seems to work like it used to, and i have to re-learn every damn thing. 
This track is also cursed with bad luck and should be several minutes longer than it is, but fate  determined that it should be one minute long. Way back in 2013 I spent several hours on this track, turning it into a Zappa-esque-ish extravaganza, eight minutes long, but some XP computer disaster meant that i lost all the evenings work and (Celtic God help me) i have been unable to re-create those several hours. 
And now, with my fancy Windows 8.1 computer, i do not know enough to import audio from You Tube into Ableton Live 7, and my mouse is behaving like an eratic Dormouse and i must now admit defeat, and put this cursed track to bed. Good night and a fond farewell to Sound Cloud Classic.

Male Donkeys are as wise and intelligent as male humans and every male donkey has a summer holiday, The most popular destination for wise and intelligent male donkeys is Paradise Island, out by the sea somewhere.
This island is popular with male donkeys because of a tribe of native female donkeys commonly known as "Single mums", a popular tribe whatever species you are. The "Single mums" are good with children and on Paradise Island, they have learnt to play the "Bamboo and Coconut wind chimes" a heavenly and also deadly musical instrument that male donkeys cannot resist for a week or two.
Wisdom and intelligence count for nothing when the "Bamboo and Coconut wind chimes" play and many wise and intelligent male donkeys never return from their holiday.

As a denizen of thefretboard.co.uk guitar community I
have been a regular contributor to the periodic 'Fretboard
Composition Challenges' under my forum username of
SteamAbacus.

Every 2 or 3 months there is a new challenge with a
different remit - these can range from as simple as
(Challenge #11) -
"Freedom! - Record whatever you like! No time
limit!"

through the more technical (Challenge #3) -
"Chord Fun. Create an audio track a minimum of 1
minute and a maximum of 2 minutes in length using
only the chords Bmaj7, Gmaj, Esus4 and the notes
within them"

to the downright silly (Challenge #9) -
"They said it couldn't and shouldn't be done but to
save the world you must compose the ultimate funky
folk mash up song! Go forth and ruin music forever,
good people!"

My compositions have ranged from simple guitar &
looper based recordings to fully-fledged tunes multitracked
on the computer. Part of my motivation in undertaking
these Composition Challenges was to familiarise myself
with my 'new and improved' computer recording set up -
which, for me, actually means a WindowsXP computer
running CubaseSX! Not without reason do these
productions go under the name 'Steam Abacus'.

This collection is a chronological record of each of my
submitted compositions and my struggles to embrace
modern (or not-so-modern) digital recording technology.

My thanks to Sheldon (Antique_Guitars on the forum) for
organising and to all the other contributors to these
Fretboard Composition Challenges.
