It is rare nowadays, in an increasingly cynical and competitive scene, for young and upcoming DJ's to get much recognition or opportunity to showcase their talents. In an industry where affiliation and endorsement from more established artists is key and where tastes and attention spans grow more fickle by the day it seems increasingly difficult for budding artists to break new ground.
RENA has overcome these preconceptions and transcended a heavily male dominated arena by sticking to a strict work ethic and a healthy and imaginative approach to her music. With almost a decade on DJing and a lengthy and enthusiastic exposure to electronic music, she always brings a fresh, innovative and contagious brew of energy to her performances!
Concentrating on gigging around her native Greece, she has steadily built herself a loyal fan base and developed her technical and programming skills. Having paid her dues and worked her way up from a consistent, dependable warm-up DJ to very remarkable artist like Oscar Mulero, Len Faki, Ben Sims, she has effortlessly made the transition to peak time performer and crowd pleaser.
Adding another bow to her resume, 2011 has seen her make her first forays into the studio, working on a few original productions while she follows a multitasking career as a label manager on Skeleton & Tronic.
While the term "electronic music" is an apt description of her musical directions, Rena's sets can encompass everything from emotional, dub techno sounds to heavy and humid atmospheres, always blended and mixed with precision and without limits! We daresay this mix achieves near perfection for initial enjoyment and countless re-listens. At times symphonic, other times choral, at times riveting or euphoric, with seamless transitions and ever-steady groove between each motif. Mathias maintains a perfect mood during the hour-long journey as he traverses between all, with nary an off-note. We can't wait for his live primetime set.

Das Leben für einige Tage auf Stand-by setzen und die surrealistischen Vorstellungen des „Seins“ aus dem Unterbewusstsein befreien, ist für viele Festivalbesucher das Non plus ultra der Freizeitgestaltung. Der Realität entfliehen und mit Gleichgesinnten alternative Lebensmodelle erproben. Umgeben von Individualisten, die zu einer Gemeinschaft verschmelzen, begibt sich der eigene Geist auf eine Reise die einfach befreit.

Ein Ort, an dem dieser Traum noch Wirklichkeit wird, ist der Pyramide Lake in Nevada. Hier treffen sich alljährlich enthusiastische Pilger, um ihre eigene bewohnbare Utopie zu schaffen. Alles was benötigt wird zum überleben, muss selbst organisiert werden und die Glücksgefühle der Megaparty entstehen durch persönlichen Minimalismus. Mitmenschen werden zu Helfern und ebnen durch liebenswerte Gesten den Eintritt in eine unvergleichliche Parallelwelt. Diese Erlebnisse werden sich jedem Besucher in die Seele einbrennen und werden ihn sein leben lang begleiten. 

Unser heutiger Gast hat so ein Brandmahl in seiner Seele und war schon mehrmals Act auf dem Burning Man. Mit seinen ruhigen und verträumten Sets hilft er seinen Zuhörern zu entschleunigen und sich ein wenig Ferienkommunismus in den Alltag zu holen. Atmosphäre und Ambiente gehören zu seinen Stärken. Damit schafft Mark es die Menschen  abzuholen und temporär zu befreien.
