Our guest for the last Worldwide FM show of 2021 was Gary Abugan aka Invisible City, representing Toronto with a guest mix in the second hour. Alongside being an incredible DJ, he’s the head of both Invisible City Editions, the record label responsible for some of our favourite reissues of recent times, and also the mouth wateringly good Invisible City record shop.

Music is always for sharing, whether it be online in our little bubbles of undiscovered gems or offline, yes IRL, face to face experiences in the club, at the listening bar, on a beach somewhere in Croatia. Recording this mix for Adriatic Social Club is exactly that. These past years have been abundant in these moments, so I want to dedicate this mix to a couple people that had a musical impact on me in the past couple of months:
Harry & Al from Merchant Records for sending me their latest Merchant edits and for inviting me and Dries (aka Undercover DJ) to play with them in London in December. Hopefully we can return the favour soon enough in Amsterdam. Dries for surprising us with some amazing Reggae and Zouk tunes (you’ll hear them in the beginning of the mix).
Cedric Woo, who compiled the Gratien Midonet compilation (1st track), his Dance for Haiti mix series and for playing an amazing Gwo Ka / Zouk Eric Brouta track that you’ll hear here in there as well.
BEVAN, his Sunshine Outdoors 2 mix was another one that really got me going. 
Daidu, for always giving me the hot tips on some songs, that you’ll definitely here in this mix.
Shady Lady for being the best partner I could imagine and always decorating my boring texts.

We’re so excited to share issue 19 of Stan Radio, this time from the mighty Basso of Hamburg! @growingbinrecords

We’re huge fans of his Growing Bin record store, label and Youtube channel, which he runs from Hamburg. It’s a real honour to have him contribute to our podcast series! A few words about the mix:

“Back in the mid 90s when my collection of soul records grew a little bigger I started recording tapes with the more mellow jams I found (on the albums I bought for the funky tracks). I called these “Slow Jams”. I can’t really recall if I recorded these for girls or just for my own pleasure. On my quest for a box of minidiscs last year I found some of these tapes (Vol. 1 - Vol. 4) and I badly wanted to make one in this vein again. Last week I gave it a try. It’s not the old school “Slow Jams” vibe I wanted to create. But after a few listens I realised I like the new Slow Jams vibe even better. Heartwarming / heartbreaking jams served with a pinch of salt… anybody?”

Big tip to check Ty’s regular radio show “ Through The Trees” for hours of niceness alongside his other mixes for staples like Doing Time on NTS, Dream Chimney, Ransom Note and his synths of the world mix which has been on repeat since it dropped.

I recorded this with all vinyl on the Sunday morning after returning from a couple of nights away camping where I spent time having fires on the beach and drinking magic tea 🔥🍄☕🤯 

First 30 mins or so is quite laid back before moving into dub then Fuji continues with the dubby goodness for the second hour. Enjoy :)
